The Guardian:
“Three Americans barred by Egyptian authorities from leaving the country have sought refuge at the United States embassy in Cairo. Tensions between the two states have escalated following unprecedented raids by security forces on a number of human rights and pro-democracy organisations working in Egypt.”

Opinion:
It’s been almost one year since the beginning of the so-called Arab Spring. The Obama administration called for the Mubarak administration to step down amid promises from the Muslim Brotherhood that they would not seek to run for power. All that has changed, as we predicted, and the MB has at least a 40% hold on Egypt’s government. The even more radical Salafists have the other 20%, making Egypt quite hostile toward Israel and the US. Every nation in the ME is lining up exactly the way the Bible said it would in the last days.

Egypt has two roles to play in the latter day wars. According to Bill Salus, author of “Israelstine“, in the war of Psalm 83, Egypt (Hagarites) joins in, or lends support, to the 10 nation Arab coalition. In Ezekiel 38-39, Egypt is conspicuously absent but emerges to lead the Kings of the South in the final war of Armageddon.

Joel Rosenberg:
“The Sunday New York Times magazine has published a must-read story by Israeli journalist Ronen Bergman, one of the most respected Israeli journalists following the Iran story over several decades. It is headlined, “Will Israel Attack Iran?” Bergman’s conclusion: “After speaking with many senior Israeli leaders and chiefs of the military and the intelligence, I have come to believe that Israel will indeed strike Iran in 2012. Perhaps in the small and ever-diminishing window that is left, the United States will choose to intervene after all, but here, from the Israeli perspective, there is not much hope for that. YNet News:
“Iran’s state TV is reporting the country has produced laser-guided artillery shells, capable of hitting moving targets with high accuracy. The Monday report quoting Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi also says that the shell was an “intelligent” munition with the capability to identify its own targets.”

Investors Business Daily Op-Ed:
Economy: The latest economic data make it clear that President Obama’s policies aren’t helping the country get stronger. Rather, they’re smothering what should have been a solid recovery.
Real GDP climbed a less-than-expected 2.8% in final quarter of 2011, and just 1.7% for the entire year, down from 3% in 2010. The trend of subpar growth under Obama continues.

Opinion:
If we are as far along the Bible’s timeline as I think we are, look for the US to continue to slide. Especially if this President wins 4 more years.

The antichrist could only rise to power, like dictators of the past, when the world descends into chaos. Imagine the pandemonium that will occcur when a huge segmnent of Christians vanish. Chaos, panic and financial collapse will follow.

“A ruler will arise whose armies will destroy the city and the Temple.” Daniel 9:26 (NLT)

Daniel 9:27 describes the ruler as one who will make a seven-year treaty with Israel, put an end to the sacrifices and offerings, and set up a sacrilegious object of himself that causes the “abomination of desecration.” These are events that will be fulfilled in the life of the Antichrist. According to Daniel, the Antichrist will come from among the people who destroyed the Temple. The vast Roman Empire.
