The Blaze:
“The Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot headlined its Friday paper “The Confrontation” with a photo of Netanyahu on one side and President Obama alongside U.S. ambassador to Israel, Dan Shapiro, on the other. Veteran diplomatic correspondent Shimon Schiffer reports that during a private meeting last week, Netanyahu very undiplomatically attacked Obama and his advisers over what he views as their ineffective Iran policy.”

Ali Khamenei Calls Israelis Zionist Wolves

The Algemeiner:
“Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, speaking Thursday at the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit host by his country, called Israelis “ferocious Zionist wolves who digest the Palestinian people.”

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon, who controversially decided to attend the summit amid the Islamic Republic’s growing nuclear program and routine calls for the Jewish state’s destruction, defended Israel in a statement before the start of the summit, but did not specifically mention Iran.”

Opinion:
Way to go, Ban! Your visit to the genocidal regime and subsequent failure to mention Iran while somewhat defending Israel has made matters much, much worse.

But hey, my guess is that good ol’ Ban knew exaclly what he was doing. The UN Humans Rights Commission (UNHRC) is composed of
fifty-three states. It meets for six weeks each year in Geneva, Switzerland with
a mandate to “examine, monitor, and publicly report either on human rights
situations in specific countries or territories or on major phenomena of human
rights violations worldwide.”

The UNHRC has never condemned numerous known human
rights violators Syria, Libya, or Saudi Arabia. But
since its inception, approximately 25 percent of its resolutions have
condemned the State of Israel; by contrast, resolutions against Iranian human
rights abuses were not brought to a vote.

Not to worry, the apostle Paul explains who will bring justice, Romans 12:19.

CNN:
Manila, Philippines (CNN) — “A 7.6-magnitude earthquake off
the coast of the Philippines has prompted a small tsunami, warnings of
structural damage and an urgent call for people to move to higher ground.

People in threatened coastal
areas are strongly advised to immediately evacuate, the Philippine Institute of
Volcanology and Seismology said late Friday.”

JTA, Jewish News Service:
The Republican Jewish Coalition heralded the Republican Party platform’s Israel planks and endorsement of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The RJC also highlights the platform’s endorsement of separate states for the Israelis and Palestinians.
“We support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state with secure, defensible borders; and we envision two democratic states — Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestineliving in peace and security,” says the excerpt from the platform.

Opinion:
This is a difficult post to write in light of the powerful speech by the Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, last night. We have been quiet about heralding the Republicans, or posting opinion editorials praising the candidates, while we have been very vocal about our displeasure with the Obama administration. Here’s why:

Everybody it seems, Democrats, Republicans, the Quartet, the entire Muslim world, even the Israelis, are endorsing a two state solution. Everybody, it seems, except the creator of the Universe.

Notice how the article above says Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestineliving in peace and security. So what happened to the capital of Palestine?

The answer is that Palestine’s capital will be in East Jerusalem, the site of the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism and the place where the prophet Ezekiel wrote “My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary (Temple) is in their midst forevermore” Ezekiel 37:27-28.

While Zechariah 14:2 tells us Jerusalem will be divided just before the return of Christ, the prophet Joel 3:1-2, leaves no doubt that God will bring judgment on those that divide His land.

God is sovereign and we will trust Him for the solution.

Joel Rosenberg:
“Ten weeks. That’s all there is until November elections. The Big Question facing the people of the Middle East is this: Will Israel use this window to launch preemptive military strikes to neutralize the Iranian nuclear threat? A raging debate is underway inside the Netanyahu government in Jerusalem over whether to strike, and when.”

Haaretz:
“UN nuclear watchdog’s quarterly report, released Thursday, also says ‘extensive activities’ are taking place at Iran’s Parchin military complex.”

Opinion:
And just yesterday, Khamenei stressed that Iran “will never pursue nuclear weapons but… will not give up right to nuclear energy,”  Ya know, it’s getting hard to trust an Ayatollah these days!

AP News:
“A federal court has ruled against a Texas law that would require voters to
present photo IDs to election officials before being allowed to cast ballots in
November.

A three-judge panel in Washington ruled Thursday that the
law imposes “strict, unforgiving burdens on the poor” and noted that racial
minorities in Texas are more likely to live in poverty.”

Opinion:
It is hard to imagine just exactly what they mean by unforgiving burdens. I am not sure how one can do pretty much anything in the US without some form of ID. You cannot even be legally paid without a Social Security number.

So, the argument is not about ID at all. Not one person on the planet believes that someone without any form of identification would vote for Mitt Romney.  It is about ILLEGAL ALIENS, pardon me for raising my voice, being able to vote for Barack Obama.

There now, open wide, it tastes just like cherry.
