Investors Business Daily Op-Ed: “Mitt Romney can still win this election, but first he has to confront the largest single domestic threat to our liberty, our values, and our national and economic security — the mainstream media.”
Excerpts from one of our most popular posts:
“We have written about deception in the mainstream media many times. We have opined on how the anti-Christ will have only 7 years to dominate the world so he will need to have control of the media, as the ‘Left Behind’ series so accurately predicted.”
We have talked about how 6 mega media outlets control most of what the public sees, reads and hears and five of six unashamedly support the progressive left. In one of my favorite Omega Letters, Jack Kinsella outlined these mega-media outlets for us:
“Walt Disney owns ABCNews, part of ESPN, the Disney Channel, SOAPnet, A/E and Lifetime, 227 radio stations, music and book publishing companies, production companies Touchstone, Miramax and Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar Animation Studios, the cellular service Disney Mobile, and theme parks around the world.
CBS owns CBS TV, CBS Radio, BET Networks, MTV Networks, and Paramount Pictures, Simon and Shuster, 50% of the CW television network, Viacom, and Redstone’s National Amusement Corp., which owns most of the nation’s movie houses.
Time-Warner owns CNN, Time and the other 50% of the CW Network, HBO, Cinemax, Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT, America Online, MapQuest, Moviefone, Netscape, Warner Bros. Pictures, Castle Rock, and New Line Cinema, over 150 magazines such as Time, Cooking Light, Marie Claire and People Magazine.
Newscorp owns Fox News Channel, Fox Entertainment, Fox Business, the New York Post, Direct TV, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Times and several local newspaper groups; Courier Life Publications, TimesLedger Newspapers, Harper-Collins Publishing and Zondervan Press.
Hearst Corporation owns everything from Popular Mechanics and the San Francisco Chronicle to Oprah Winfrey. It owns A&E (together with Walt Disney and NBC), part of ESPN, Hearst Television network (29 stations) a dozen internet companies, King Features Syndicate and a bunch more.
General Electric is ranked as the sixth largest company in the United States. It owns NBC, Telemundo, Universal Pictures, Focus Features, 26 American television stations, and MSNBC, Bravo and the SyFy network.
“…and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie” 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11.
