Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles

The 7^th and final feast on the Jewish calendar called Sukkot, or Tabernacles, begins at sundown tonight. Tabernacles is considered the most joyous of the 7 feast days as it was to be an annual reminder of God’s provision during 40 years in the wilderness. In Biblical times it was required that the Israelites would dwell in sukkahs, which is Hebrew for booth or shelter, during the holiday and rejoice before the Lord. Tabernacle is the English word for tabernaculum (Latin), meaning tent or hut.

On July 31st, it was revealed that the Labor Department warned defense contractors against notifying workers of impending layoffs before the election as well, despite the fact that it would require violating the law to do so.

On September 21, it was revealed that a report on the Greek bailout will also be postponed until after the U.S. election.

On September 13th, Fed Chief Ben Bernanke announced that he will be pursuing a third round of Quantitative Easing (QE3), once again under the auspices of “stimulating” the economy. The over-arching theme here is clear: anything that constitutes an “inconvenient reality” for this president, especially with respect to economics, will be delayed until after the election.”

Bet you forgot a few of the above deceptions, didn’t you? Don’t feel bad, so did I and I write about this all day.

But that’s what a constant feed of deception and lies does to the human brain. Some call it confusion, others call it cognitive dissonance, but a steady diet of deception and lies makes a person numb after a while.

That is what Jesus told His disciples would be a hallmark of the last days (Matthew 24:4, Luke 21:8). And that is also what the apostle Paul warned Timothy about in his first letter to him. Timothy was to counsel and instruct the early Church on the responsibilities of its leaders, as well as exhort to faithfulness in maintaining the truth.

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron” 1 Timothy 4:1-2.

To our regular readers, forgive me for repeating myself. The Libya massacre of four Americans was a planned attack that was meant to change public thinking on freedom of speech.

It is painfully obvious, by the insistence of the US administration to blame the film trailer of a film that no one has seen, that if Obama is re-elected, freedom of speech will be turned over to the UN under the guise of protecting all religions.

Perilous times will come (2 Timothy 3:1-5.), And from such people turn away!

New York Times: “The Obama administration notified Congress on Friday that it intends to give Egypt’s new government an emergency cash infusion of $450 million, but the move immediately encountered resistance from lawmakers wary of foreign aid in general and of Egypt’s new course under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, speaking at a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the annual United Nations General Assembly, said the world needed to do more to support the governments that have emerged from the popular uprisings of the Arab Spring.”

Obama’s response, Is 450 million enough or would you like more?

This administration makes Neville Chamberlain look like Alexander the Great. It was Chamberlain, in 1938, after visiting Hitler who said: “My good friends this is the second time in our history that there has come back from Germany to Downing Street peace with honor. I believe it is peace in our time.”

We know from Bible prophecy that Egypt plays a major role in the end time events. Egypt is one of a 10 nation Arab alliance (Psalm 83:1-6) that will attack Israel in the last days wars. In the final war of Armageddon, Egypt emerges as one of four global power blocs called the King of the South, (Daniel 11:11).

Depending on where we are on the Bible’s timeline, free speech will have to give way to a new world order so that the coming anti-Christ will have an infrastructure in place, since he will have only 7 years (Daniel 9:27) to dominate the entire world.

To a Jew, the very thought of dividing Jerusalem again is unthinkable, but according to Bible prophecy, the city will indeed be divided one more time, right before the return of Christ: “Behold, the day is coming, And your spoil will be divided in your midst For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; The city shall be taken, The houses rifled, And the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into captivity, But the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city” Zechariah 14:1-2.

But let us not worry, thanks to the sure word of God (Zechariah 14:3) we already know who wins: “Then the Lord will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east.”

Washington Wire: “The two leaders discussed a range of security issues, and the President reaffirmed his and our country’s unshakeable commitment to Israel’s security,” the White House said in a brief summary of the call. “The two leaders underscored that they are in full agreement on the shared goal of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”

Opinion:

It was very generous of the president to take time away from Beyonce, Whoopi, Barbara, and Joy, with whom he met with IN PERSON, to have a phone chat with the Prime Minister of Israel.
