Guest Post: Curt Schilling Removed From ESPN After Tweet

Time: “ESPN has removed Curt Schilling from the Little League World Series broadcast after the former baseball star tweeted a meme that appeared to compare Muslims to Germans during the Nazi regime.

The tweet, which has since been removed, featured a graphic that showed Adolf Hitler next to text reading: “It’s said only 5-10% of Muslims are extremists. In 1940, only 7% of Germans were Nazis. How’d that go?”

Vason’s Opinion: Earlier this week we learned that a small town in Kansas named Chanute was forced to remove a picture of Jesus from its middle school. The picture had been on display since the 1950’s but was removed due to complaints pouring in from around the country.

“The district’s new superintendent ordered it taken down Thursday from Royster Middle School after the Freedom From Religion Foundation notified him that the display in a public school amounted to an ‘egregious violation of the First Amendment.”

So what is society teaching us? Don’t you dare say anything critical of Islam. However, feel free to duct tape Christian voices and remove our expressions of faith.
