Obama Reminds Audience Constitution Prohibits Him from Staying in Office After End of Term

CNS News: “In a speech at the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Wednesday night, President Barack Obama  laughingly countered a member of the audience who suggested he should stay in office after his term ends by explaining that the Constitution does not allow that.”

Opinion: Tell me if these two statements by Barack Obama sound similar:

July 25, 2011 Obama speech to La Raza, “I wish I could bypass Congress and change things on my own but that’s not how our system works.”

The audience began chanting, “Yes, you can; yes, you can.”

And he did.

January 14, 2016 Obama speech to University of Nebraska  “How do we keep America safe and strong without either isolating ourselves or trying to nation-build all over the world?”

Somebody in the audience shouted: “Keeping you as President!”

Obama then said: “Oh, well, I can’t do that.  I can’t do that because of the Constitution.  And I can’t do that because Michelle would kill me.”

Uh oh.
