JPost: “In what appears to be an attempt to detach itself from its mother organization in Egypt, Hamas has removed all signs of the Muslim Brotherhood from the streets and mosques in Gaza.
All the pictures and slogans related to the group have been taken down and removed from public view.
Hamas has also removed a major banner which was hung in central Gaza over the past few years. The banner contained the images of the current and previous emirs of Qatar, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and two of Hamas’ senior leaders, Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashaal, with the caption: “Jerusalem waits for the men.”
Opinion: Does this mean Hamas has finally laid down their weapons, stoped building tunnels and changed their charter to actually be a peace with Israel?
Not in the least. It appears obvious that with Egypt’s president Abdel al-Sisi’s relentless war against the Muslim Brotherhood, and Iran’s gigantic windfall of ObamaCash, Hamas has changed alliances for the worse; to Iran.
On Feb. 9, 2015, A senior delegation from Hamas arrived in Tehran to take part in the 37th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
Iranian Maj. Gen. Qasem Suleiman, commander of the Quds Force met with Hamas officials in what was a clear shift of partnerships: According to a report from al-Monitor, an Iranian web-site, an unidentified Hamas official said this:
“Meetings were up to expectations, the world has changed a lot since [the beginning of the Arab Spring in] 2011 and till now. Iran isn’t the same as before, and we aren’t [the same either]. Yet, we both still have the same interest in having a strong resistance in Palestine to face the Israeli aggression.”
The interest they share has not changed for 3000 years:
“They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Psalm 83:4
