Zero Hedge: “Online, tech companies continue to fight the terror group, minimizing its platform and ability to spread.
Jihadi tweets were down 45 percent from two years ago, an Obama administration official stated last month, as Twitter continues to shut down thousands of ISIS-affiliated accounts.
The U.S. has simultaneously launched a counter-extremism drive with an anti-ISIS message online.
The jihadi workaround
While a suspended Twitter account or Facebook page makes it harder for followers to find jihadi accounts, as replacement accounts differ slightly by username, the Firefox plugin would appear to work around that issue as information becomes readily available through a click of the toolbar button.”
Opinion: Getting an accurate number of ISIS soldiers is nearly impossible:
- Wikipedia: June 2014, ISIS was estimated to have approximately 4,000 fighters in Iraq. By September 2014, the CIA estimated that it had 20,000–31,500 fighters in Iraq and Syria.
- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Estimates that the force numbers around 80,000–100,000 total (up to 50,000 in Syria and 30,000 in Iraq).
- Fox News: Officially, ISIS is estimated to have between 20,000 and 25,000 fighters based on the new intelligence estimate.
- UK Independent: ISIS militants have an army of 200,000.
The terror group has functioning oil wells that are believed to bring in $50,000 per month with smugglers exploiting routes into Turkey and beyond.
ISIS issues annual reports and has a robust recruiting program and a global terror reach – while western intel can’t even agree on its size.
Knowing that Edom (descendants of Esau) is the final enemy to be defeated upon the return of Jesus Christ (Isa. 63:1-3), expect ISIS or some form of it to continue to produce terror no matter what politicians say.
