Will Bringing the Jews of Ethiopia Home Fulfill Prophecy?

Breaking Israel News: According to A.Y. Katsof, the Jews of Ethiopia are living in extreme poverty. Katsof is the director of The Heart of Israel, which is running a crowdfunding campaign to bring these Jews back to Israel and resettle them in the Biblical heartland.

Katsof said most Ethiopian Jews eat only one meal a day.

“They live in terrible conditions, in tiny, one-room mud huts with no sanitation,” said Katsof. “If they have food to cook, they prepare it on a coal or wood fire. As many as 100 people share a single bathroom. Nonetheless, they continue to remain hopeful and faithful to Judaism, Jerusalem and God.” more …

Opinion: “From beyond the rivers of Cush My worshipers, The daughter of My dispersed ones, Shall bring My offering“. Zephaniah 3:10 NIV

The Diaspora (scattering) of the Jewish people that began in 70 AD is coming to an end. Ezekiel 39:28 prophesied that the whole house of Israel will hear God’s call to come home ‘leaving none behind’.

Cush (eldest son of Noah’s son Ham) settled in the area of Ethiopia, Sudan,  and Somalia. And Cush is mentioned as a member of the Gog Magog alliance that will attack Israel in the days just before the start of the time of Jacob’s trouble (Tribulation).

The principal attackers in the invasion are Russia, Iran, and Turkey (Ezekiel 38:1-6) along with the Islamic North African nations of Cush and Put (Libya) which have strong ties to Turkey. Recep Erdogan is making no secret of his hatred for the Jewish state and desire to attack.

The invasion will fail Ezekiel 39:4: “On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals”

And in Ezekiel 39:6 God’s judgment is administered on the invading nations’ homelands:

“I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the Lord”.

There is so much prophecy in the process of being fulfilled that we have to keep a careful watch so we don’t miss them.

  1. A couple of years ago I saw a History channel show about the ark of the covenant. Supposedly it is in Ethiopia with the Jews that were dispersed.
When they build the third temple, I assume that they will need the Ark.
