Homeless people wearing barcodes to accept cashless payments

The Telegraph UK: Homeless people are wearing barcodes around their necks in an attempt to increase donations in a cashless society, under an Oxford University backed initiative.

A new social innovation project, called Greater Change, hands homeless people a QR code, similar to the kind issued for online tickets.

Passersby who wish to give money – but who may not have any change in their pocket – can scan the code using their smart phone, and make an online payment to the person.

The donation goes into an account which is managed by a case worker who ensures that the money is spent on agreed targets, such as saving for a rental deposit or a new passport.

“The problem we’re trying to solve here is that we live in an increasingly cashless society and as well as this when people give they worry about what this money might be spent on,” Alex McCallion, founder of Greater Change. more …

Opinion: What is interesting is that the cashless society that the Apostle John wrote about in Revelation 13:16-17 takes place after the last trumpet (1 Cor. 15:51-52) of the church age. So what we are seeing happen now are precursors to, or stage setting for, the main event called the tribulation, or time of Jacob’s trouble (Jeremiah 30:7).

Possible order of events:

Rapture of the Church and Bema Seat Judgment (1 Thess. 4:15-18; 2 Cor. 5:10).

Israel’s blindness is removed (Rom. 11:25).

The diaspora is complete and the House of David returns to the land “not leaving any behind” (Ezek. 39:28).

The Tribulation/Day of the Lord Begins: (Jeremiah 30:7; Rev. 6:1-3).

Peace treaty is signed between Israel and many (Daniel 9:27).

Revival of the Roman Empire, 10 nation confederacy formed. (Dan. 7:24; Rev. 13:1, 17:3).

Rise of Antichrist, (11th king/Little Horn): (Dan. 7:8, 24; Rev. 13:1-8).

See that? Much happens before the rise of Antichrist (Rev. 13:1-3), and the start of what Jesus called the Great Tribulation (Mat. 24:21).

What follows is:

Antichrist receives a mortal head wound and stages a false resurrection (Rev. 13:3).

The False Prophet (Rev. 13:11-12) comes on the scene – a high ranking church official who has all the power of the first beast.

It is the False Prophet who creates and orders that a mark (Rev. 13:16-17) be placed on the right hand or forehead in order for people to buy or sell, indicating a digital currency.
