ISIS in Sinai seizes Iranian weapons bound for Hamas

The Times of Israel: The Islamic State affiliate in the Sinai Peninsula has seized a weapons shipment that included a number of Kornet missiles, the Russian-made advanced anti-tank laser-guided weapon system. The shipment was making its way from Iran to Palestinian terror group Hamas in the Gaza Strip, according to a report in the Kuwaiti newspaper al-Jarida.

A security source in Kuwait told the paper that the shipment is the largest seized by IS and included other GPS-guided weaponry. The source said a local IS commander was refusing to cooperate with Hamas and transfer the weapons, as cited by Hebrew-language news site Walla.

Earlier this month, as part of widening tensions that threatened to spill into another all-out war between Hamas and Israel, terrorists in Gaza fired a Kornet missile at an Israeli bus near the border, seriously injuring an IDF soldier who was on board at the time. more …

Opinion: ISIS in the Sinai is a bone-chilling report, since it was approx. 3400 years ago when Amalek attacked the Israelites in the Sinai at the battle at Rephidim (Exodus 17:8), in the world’s first Biblically recorded terror attack.

Almost 1400 years later, Asaph, a temple priest, prophesied that in a still future Psalm 83 war, Amalek would be right where he is today in the Sinai.

Edom (Esau) in Judea:

In 600 BC, Edom’s descendants were forced out of their ancestral home (shown in red) in southern Jordan by a group of Ishmaelites, leaving Edom desolate (in fulfillment of Ezekiel 35:5-7). The Edomites then settled in Judah where they helped the Babylonian army destroy Solomon’s temple, earning them future judgment from a holy God (Obadiah 1:18).

Asaph also prophesied that Edom, the patriarch of Amalek, would join in the battle to wipe out Jacob and claim the land that Esau had traded away for a bowl of red porridge (Genesis 25:29-34).

Here is the mind-blowing part: Edom, in southern Jordan today, is still desolate in preparation for the future fulfillment of Matthew 24:15-16:

“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” Matthew 25:15-16

In the final war of Armageddon, after Antichrist enters the tribulation temple and declares himself god (abomination), the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob will flee to the mountains of their eternal enemy Edom, for protection from the final Amalek called Antichrist.
