$185 Million Blood Money Given to Terrorists Last Year

Israel collects taxes from her citizens to be given to the Palestinians for economical purposes. The money used for this nefarious purpose that comes out to roughly 10 million Euros per month. For months the PA did not take any money from Israel in protest, and Abbas was adamant by saying that he will not take anything until that 10 million is reinstated.

Faced with certainly economic collapse, Abbas starting taking the money again in October.

Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs has details about the PA’s budget for 2018 that was published recently and the allocations to arrested terrorists and the families of those who died or were wounded in the context of the “struggle against Zionism:”

The total PA budget is $5 billion. The amount that supports prisoners is $155 million, out of which $147 million are spent on transfers to the prisoners. These include salaries to 5,000 prisoners, paying Israeli fines for 1,200 prisoners, grants to 1,500 prisoners upon their discharge, grants for 1,200 unemployed released prisoners, delayed payments to 1,000 prisoners, salaries for 5,500 released prisoners, unspecified amounts to released prisoners who spent more than 10 years in jail, canteen expenditures for 6,000 prisoners, and clothing allocations for 5,000 prisoners.

The PA budget for supporting the families of “martyrs” and the wounded is $185 million.
