Abbas was speaking at the Fatah congress being held in Ramallah, a day after he was re-elected by consensus as Fatah leader.”

Esau’s grudge, over the birthright that he sold to his brother Jacob for a bowl of soup, has been playing out on the world stage for 3500 years. Esau’s illegitimate grandson Amalek was the first to draw Israelite blood after Moses led them through the dry land of the Red Sea.
The Lord swore to have war with Amalek in every generation (Exodus 17:16) and Bible students should be able to recognize Esau’s descendants from the town their government is located in. Esau’s tribes were forced out of their ancestral home in Mt. Seir in the 6th century BC and settled in Judea (West Bank).
Yasser Arafat had his headquarters in the West Bank town of Ramallah, and his deputy Mahmoud Abbas is still there today.
The hatred is so deep and so old that its origins are almost forgotten. Only Jesus can end it (Isaiah 63:1-3).
