Abbas: We will Never Accept Israel

Arutz Sheva: “Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who is also leader of Fatah and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), on Wednesday declared that Fatah will never give up on its principles, its character and its identity in order to achieve the dream of freedom and an independent state.

Abbas was speaking at the Fatah congress being held in Ramallah, a day after he was re-elected by consensus as Fatah leader.”

Opinion: “So Esau bore a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” Genesis 27:41

Esau’s grudge, over the birthright that he sold to his brother Jacob for a bowl of soup, has been playing out on the world stage for 3500 years. Esau’s illegitimate grandson Amalek was the first to draw Israelite blood after Moses led them through the dry land of the Red Sea.

The Lord swore to have war with Amalek in every generation (Exodus 17:16) and Bible students should be able to recognize Esau’s descendants from the town their government is located in. Esau’s tribes were forced out of their ancestral home in Mt. Seir in the 6th century BC and settled in Judea (West Bank).

Yasser Arafat had his headquarters in the West Bank town of Ramallah, and his deputy Mahmoud Abbas is still there today.

The hatred is so deep and so old that its origins are almost forgotten. Only Jesus can end it (Isaiah 63:1-3).
