Adam and Eve: Genetic Science Confirms Bible Again

Barb Wire: The Bible and its account of origins is treated with utter contempt by cultural elites, those who look down their long noses at the rubes and hayseeds (like me) who place great confidence in the Book.

Well, the elites better hope their snobbish peers don’t get their hands on the report about the latest in genetic science. The reason: genetic scientists are telling us now that there is powerful and virtually irrefutable scientific evidence that every human being on earth has descended from a single pair of parents. The Bible, of course, goes science one better, and even gives us the names of our original ancestors, “Adam” and “Eve.”

Now, to be sure, they are off on their timeline by about 94,000 years. They’ve got it right that there was a “catastrophic event that almost wiped out the human race,” which of course we know is actually a reference to the flood of Noah’s day, though they haven’t figured that part out yet. But give them time. They finally got to Adam and Eve, they’ll eventually come around on the rest. more …

Opinion: Answers in Genesis Ken Ham explains one of several major problems (here) with the old earth theory:

“The Bible makes it very clear that there was absolutely no death before Adam sinned. Romans 5:12 states, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin… 1 Corinthians 15:21 states, “For since by man [Adam] came death, by Man [Jesus] also came the resurrection of the dead.” These passages are dealing primarily with human death, but it is also clear from Romans 8 that sin affected all of creation. Scripture is clear that animal death was instituted when Adam sinned…”

“Each of the old-earth views places death, bloodshed, disease, and suffering before Adam’s sin. However, the Bible teaches that all was “very good” (Gen. 1:31) when God made it. Would God have called everything that He had made “very good” if it were full of death and suffering? Absolutely not! Remember, Jesus healed the sick and resurrected the dead. Why would He do these things if these people were already in a “very good” state? Death and suffering were not a part of the original creation but only entered because of the fall of man. Further evidence for this is provided by the fact that people and animals were originally allowed to eat plants only (Gen. 1:29–30).”

Knowledge is increasing:

“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” Daniel 12:4.

With new knowledge proving literal Scripture 100% accurate, many more men and women will conclude that the Bible is the inerrant world of God, and will lead them to the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” 2 Timothy 2:15.

  1. What will all of the allegorical christians think of this? “Oh no, we literally descended from one couple!”
I know that I have shown author this, but the New American Catholic Bible states in the introduction that the seven day creation account was borrowed from the creation-flood stories attested in Mesopotamian literature. According to the commentator, The stories are neither history or myth since “myth” is an unsuitable term, for it has several different meanings and connotes untruth in popular english. History is equally misleading, for it suggest that the events actually took place.
So scientists are going to figure it out before readers of the contemporary catholic bible will.
