JPost: “Fresh from winning a referendum to consolidate presidential power, Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to make issues of Jerusalem and the rights of Muslims in Israel, as well as the Palestinians, in remarks he made at the opening ceremony of the International Forum on Al-Quds Wakfs (Islamic trusts) in Istanbul on Monday.
Erdogan, according to local reports, called Israel racist and discriminatory, while describing the blockade of Gaza as having “no place in humanity.”
He also expressed hope that a new Hamas policy document would lead to reconciliation with Fatah and support the Palestinian “fight for rights and freedom.” more …
Opinion: Earlier this week Erdogan called for Muslims to flood the Temple Mount and stake a claim to the one spot on earth that Jacob conquered and Edom covets more than any other.
Edom has been desperately trying to deny biblical history through UN resolutions.
1052 BC: David conquered Jerusalem by defeating the Jebusites (1 Chronicles 11:4-9; 2 Samuel 1:5-6).
1010 – 970 BC: Reign of King David. Jerusalem is proclaimed the capital of the United Kingdom of Israel (2 Samuel 5:1-5).
970 BC: In the 40th year of David’s reign, he purchases the Threshing Floor on Mount Moriah to build a temple to the Lord. God would not allow David to build the temple since he was a man of war (2 Samuel 24:24; 1 Chronicles 22).
Erdogan, like all of Edom, cannot rest until they satisfy the lust for Jerusalem as described by Zechariah 12:1-2.
“Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him: “Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.”
In a conversation with my friend and part-time (volunteer) editor yesterday, I expressed my frustration that so many of my posts this past week were covering the same ground. Vason was quick to point out that Abbas and the embassy are such big topics that there really isn’t anything more important, especially this message.
I can’t help but think that if the president’s Sunni peace deal doesn’t bring about the Daniel 9:27 peace treaty right now, Donald Trump has tripped a prophecy wire that there is no turning back from.
It is very important to watch Turkey. Erdogan’s sweeping new powers and complete unwavering support for Hamas could be the trigger for a regional war.
The excitement is incredible.
