JPost: Though children have always had a protected status in war, armed ISIS children can be targeted under the laws of armed conflict, IDC Herzliya Professor Daphne Richmond-Barak told the Jerusalem Post on Wednesday.
“If children are holding a gun then direct participation in hostilities rules apply to children… children might be targets and not just victims,” she said. more …
Opinion: 1 Samuel 15:1-3:
“Samuel also said to Saul, “The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I will punish Amalek for what he did to Israel, how he ambushed him on the way when he came up from Egypt. Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.”
Saul disobeyed …
“But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and were unwilling to utterly destroy them. But everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed” 1 Samuel 15:9.
… and the blood of Amalek spread first to Persia (Esther 3:5-6) and throughout the world.
These verses have been debated by Christians, Bible teachers, and non-believers for over 3000 years. Bible skeptics are fond of asking “What kind of God would order the killing of men, women, children, even animals?”
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob foreknew that the Amalekite men, women, and children, even their animals must be destroyed, and had commanded it to Moses in accordance with Leviticus 26:27-28:
“Nevertheless no devoted offering that a man may devote to the Lord of all that he has, both man and beast, or the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed; every devoted offering is most holy to the Lord. No person under the ban, who may become doomed to destruction among men, shall be redeemed, but shall surely be put to death.”
God foreknew that the descendants of Esau and his illegitimate grandson, Amalek, would try to kill every Jew to covet Esau’s squandered birthright (Genesis 27:41) of the title deed to the promised land, and that Amalek would be a murderous thorn in Israel’s side in every generation (Exodus 17:16)

Satan will use any and all possibilities to create death, destruction, deceit and havoc, especially in these last days. He will use (and has) little “innocent” children to unleash the acts of his desperation. The lives of those children may have already been completely ruined because of the brainwashing and deception they have experienced.
It is up to God to judge them according to His will after this life. If God believes they are still to receive eternal life with Him then they will. However, if God commands one of us to kill them before they slaughter our families then we better not disobey.
