Church of Laodicea is Here: Lutheran Church Stops Preaching The Gospel

PJ Media: The Evangelical Luther Church of American was founded in 1988 with 5,288,230 members. By 2016, less than twenty years later, the ELCA had shrunk to 3,563,842 members. With that kind of “growth,” the ELCA has less than forty years before the final member throws her hands up and quits.

Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary, N.C., believes that they’ve found the answer to stopping the mass exodus of tithing members. They’ve stopped preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and have embraced progressive theology and social justice. more …

Opinion: The signs of the end of the age are coming faster and faster.

The only purpose of the church is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Atonement for sin requires the shedding of blood (Leviticus 17:11) and dates back over 3500 years to the Israelites and a reluctant leader named Moses. Without the pardon for sin that the shedding of the blood of a spotless lamb provides, men are lost.

The whole of the Old Testament, every book, points toward the Great Sacrifice that was to come, that of Jesus’ sacrificial giving of His own blood on our behalf.

The whole New Testament points to the sin debt as forgiven for those who accept it. The words of Jesus from the cross “It is finished” (John 19:30) officially ended the need for the sacrifice of animals.

The indictment: “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,

“These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16

The definition of Laodicea is ‘the people rule’. Non-believers do not want to hear that they are sinners but rather want to be entertained with stage productions, music and feel good messages that soothe their itching ears (2 Timothy 4:3).

While many church groups have embraced a non-Gospel, it is now making its way into the congregations.
