Over the past decade, US Democrats have been increasingly favoring PA Arabs over Israelis, until a Thursday Gallup poll showed that the gap has turned into a chasm, as 49% of Democrats prefer the Arab side in the conflict over 38% who stick with Israel. These are European numbers, folks.
Gallup announced: “Today’s attitudes reflect an 11-percentage-point increase over the past year in Democrats’ sympathy with the Palestinians. At the same time, the percentages sympathizing more with the Israelis (38%) and those not favoring a side (13%) have dipped to new lows.”
“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12;3
As a result, Gallup noted, “sympathy toward the Palestinians among US adults is at a new high of 31%, while the proportion not favoring a side is at a new low of 15%. The 54% of Americans sympathizing more with the Israelis is similar to last year’s 55% but is the lowest since 2005.”
Republican Jewish Coalition CEO responded on Thursday: “This is an extremely troubling trend. Many elected Democrats claim to be pro-Israel, but party activists and rank-and-file members are increasingly indifferent and even hostile to the Jewish state. It’s long past time for Democratic leaders to admit they have a problem that must be addressed to restore the historic bipartisan support for Israel.”
Not sure how that’s going to happen, with Israeli leftists campaigning vigorously across the US against the legitimacy of their government, and so many Jewish-American groups following suit.
Gallup’s bottom line had to do with generational differences: “Net sympathy toward Israel––the percentage sympathizing more with the Israelis than the Palestinians––is solidly positive among older generations, including baby boomers (+46 points), Generation X (+32) and the Silent Generation (+31). By contrast, millennials are now evenly divided, with 42% sympathizing more with the Palestinians and 40% with the Israelis, yielding a -2 net-Israel sympathy score.”
Gallup expects Generation Z (aged 18 to 22) to be closer to the millennials when their turn comes up to participate in public opinion polls.
With these figures, Israel can no longer rely on automatic support from the US. At this point, help would come from a red wave in the 2024 elections – but judging by the last red wave in 2022, maybe we shouldn’t raise our hopes too high.
I am not at all surprised at this Gallup poll, even so it makes me very ill in my spirit, the ignorance and or unbelief these people are revealing in this poll. The scripture offered in this post Genesis 12:3 absolutely appropriate, but more can also be said. First let everyone be reminded that Esau is the eldest son of Isaac. Esau would become the father of the edomites, which is now currently modern day Palestinian people. I am going to tell the absolute truth here concerning the ignorance and or unbelief of certain people in our own government, Thomas nides ambassador to Israel, Anthony blinken Secretary of State, and last but not least president joe Biden. Upon my many years of watching and listening to these people I have observed these people and those like-minded, have all of this among other things 180° backwards, and here’s a scripture that will prove this, Isaiah chapter 5 verses 20 through 24 and I now quote from the word of God, woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil, that put darkness for light, and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet, and Sweet for bitter! woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and Men of strength to mingle strong drink: which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: before they have cast away the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of the holy One of Israel. This scripture reveals their thinking and their actions by their own revealing of it in all that they say and do. Another scripture, in the New testament second Timothy chapter 3 verses 1 through 9 are absolutely in progress here as well as Isaiah chapter 5 in the Old testament, that I just quoted. This is what second Timothy chapter 3 verses 1 through 9 says, this know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. for of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins LED away with diverse lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. now as Janice and jambres withstood Moses so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. but they shall proceed no further: for their folly Shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. These people are spiritually blind, and spiritually deaf, and lack spiritual discernment. inclosing let us pray for these people that the Lord might open their eyes and ears and also let us remember that the Lord our heavenly father has already pronounced judgment on this conflict in the Middle East and Jesus, when he returns here at the end of the great 7-year tribulation, We will be with him and he will settle this, he will carry out the judgment, once and for All. And in Jesus name, let those who have eyes to read this, read this, and pray that the Lord will grant them understanding.
