The New American: “There was a time when the very notion of world government was taboo, at least in public. Although elites in the United States and every other Western nation have been working for decades to set up a world government, it was, until fairly recently, done behind the scenes, with plausible deniability.
Those who dared to accuse the architects of the UN-centered international system as working to build global government were routinely derided as cranks and conspiracy theorists.
In recent years, however, the architects of world government have been more open about their goals. For example, current UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (shown), at an October event in honor of the 70th anniversary of the UN’s founding, characterized the United Nations as the “parliament of humanity.”

According to the many desperate political groups feverishly working to get us there, global government will be sold as a solution to what ails the world.
The sales pitch:
- Global government will be fair to the poor and middle class
- Global government will tax the evil rich, and protect us from economic upheaval
- Global government will provide protection from guns, climate change, and war
And global government will require an internationally charismatic leader, one that is capable of reaching out to all the people with intelligence, fairness and compassion.
Daniel 7:23 says that this government will be so powerful that he could not think of a beast on earth fierce enough with which to compare it.
Like a page out of “Left Behind”, the Obama administration is pushing power to the anti-America/anti-Israel UN while the mainstream media helps America stay blissfully asleep.
This past week, the Washington Times and Breitbart news (here and here) reported that President Obama has made it known to Congress that he is interested in the UN job when Secretary Ban Ki Moon’s second term finishes on December 31, 2016.
