IAF Brig.-Gen. Zvika Haimovich: ‘In future war, Israel will be hit with biggest rocket salvos seen yet’

JPost: “It’s not a nightmare, it’s a very realistic scenario, hostile entities will seek to overwhelm air defenses with heavy salvos, Haimovich said.

“In the future, we will meet and engage much bigger salvos,” he said. They will come from multiple directions, and a “regional war” is a more realistic scenario than a single-front escalation.

Gazan and southern Lebanese weapons storage facilities house many thousands of rockets, Haimovich said, adding, “It doesn’t matter how many. We are dealing with a complicated environment.”

Opinion: In June 2014, Hamas had around 12,000 rockets of various ranges, including long-range missiles. According to a March 4, 2016 report from the Times of Israel, Hamas used around 4,600 of its rockets during Operation Protective Edge, and another 4,000 or so were destroyed in Israeli strikes, leaving the terrorists with a third of their arsenal by the end of the fighting.

Arutz Sheva reported that the Hamas arsenal is now rebuilt as are most of the terror tunnels. Hezbollah, on the other hand, is said to have 150,000 rockets.

thefiveI can’t help but see a scenario developing that fits Psalm 83:1-8. The prophet Asaph also described a regional war coming from multiple fronts. I found this map that illustrates how close six of Israel’s sworn enemies are.

From the top:

The inhabitants of Tyre – Southern Lebanon (Hezbollah)

Assyria – Syria and northern Iraq

Moab and Ammon – Palestinians of central and northern Jordan also called the children of Lot (Gen. 19:30-38)

The tents of Edom –  Edom today is represented by the Palestinians of the West Bank.

Philistia – Palestinians of Gaza (Hamas)

Psalm 83, however, prophecies 4 more countries in the alliance

The Hagrites – Hagar, mother of Ishmael, was from Egypt

Amalek – Eternal enemy of the Israelites (Ex. 17:16) Palestinian Arabs of Sinai (ISIS)

Gebal – Northern Lebanon

The Ishmaelites – Ishmael settled in the Arabian Peninsula or modern-day Saudi Arabia

A victory in this war could set the stage for Israel to take down her protective walls and gates. Ezekiel 38 describes such a scenario that leads to an even larger and more lethal invasion led by Russia, Turkey, Iran, and 4 North African allies.

There is only one logical reason for the second attack: Israel’s oil/gas energy.
