Iran: Missile program a threat to our enemies, Israel should know what that means

JPost: “According to a July 20 United Nations Security Council resolution endorsing the deal, Iran is still “called upon” to refrain from work on ballistic missiles designed to deliver nuclear weapons for up to eight years.

In October, Iran violated a United Nations ban by testing a precision-guided ballistic missile, prompting a US threat to impose more sanctions. In December, President Hassan Rouhani ordered Iran’s missile program to be expanded.

Iran’s missile capability and its missile program will become stronger.”

Opinion  Iran has only three enemies: Israel, Saudi Arabia, and America.

The prophet Ezekiel deals with all four nations in the war of Gog and Magog, Ezekiel 38-39:

  • Iran (Persia) is one of seven assailants
  • Saudi Arabia (Sheba and Dedan) and America (young lions) are bystanders

Ezekiel gives precise details of this great war: He names each member of the invading army (Ez. 38:1-6), what their motive is and which major powers are conspicuously absent (Ez. 38:13), how God wins the victory (Ezekiel 38:18-23), how long it takes to bury the dead (Ez. 39:12), that Israel will know God’s hand in victory (Ez. 39:22) and that all Jews will return to the land (Ez.39:28).

But, he didn’t give clues as to the approximate time.

Hosea 3:4-5 (8th century BC) confirms Ezekiel 39:22, 28 that in the last days of the dispersion, the children of Israel will return to the Lord in covenant relationship.

“For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They shall fear the Lord and His goodness in the latter days (right before the tribulation).”

Then in Hosea 6:1-2, we get the clue that the time is very near:

“Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.”

  • After two days: He will revive us (“with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, 2 Peter 3:8“)
  • On the third day: It has been approximately 2000 (360 day) years since the dispersion in 70 AD
  • He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight: return to covenant relationship/ millennial reign of Christ on earth when all God’s children are back in the land.
