God promised Abraham that in addition to a son with Sarah (who was unable to conceive) he would have countless other descendants.
He also included the promise of a specific land, and a promise of blessing and redemption, which is what we see in this video.
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you him who blesses you
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Genesis 12:1-3
The video is a powerful testimony to the Abrahamic covenant.
And the sign of this covenant was/is circumcision.
We recognize God’s promise in fulfilling the blessing every time we hear of the unmatchable advances made by the Jewish people!
For Christians, the greatest part of the blessing of ‘many descendants’ is that from the line of Judah, Jesus Christ came to reconcile humanity to God. Blessed are You, Lord our God!
