Israeli Researchers Find Way to Deliver Meds to Brain Inhibiting Alzheimer’s Disease

BIN: Getting medications into the brain is no easy task because the body’s most important organ rests beneath the blood-brain barrier (BBB) that protects the central nervous term from being attacked by bacteria and other harmful substances via the blood. While such a defense is beneficial, it also restricts the passage from the bloodstream to the brain, of drugs intended to treat brain diseases.

Israeli researchers have now developed a technology for transporting drugs within silicon nanostructures to the brain. Providing targeted delivery in the brain with the use of a “gene gun,” these nanostructures release an essential protein that can inhibit the development of Alzheimer’s disease, the most common type of dementia. more …

Opinion: “And in you all the nations on the earth will be blessed” Genesis 12:3. That was not wishful thinking it was a blessing/prophecy/promise God made with Abraham and all humanity.

There is not a year that goes by that an Israeli medical team isn’t breaking ground on some incurable disease. Last week Israeli doctors found a gene that causes Atrial Fibrillation (here), a condition near and dear to my heart (pun intended).

So I decided to do a little checking and found a few more breakthroughs from a nation that has only been in existence for 71 years.
