Israel’s Foreign Ministry chief: Sunni Arab nations are our ‘allies’

000_Nic64575081-e1433184172616The Times Of Israel: “The director general of Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Dore Gold, called the Middle East’s Sunni Arab nations “Israel’s allies.”

Gold used the term twice in a presentation Wednesday in New York focused on the shortcomings of the Iran nuclear deal.

“What we have is a regime on a roll that is trying to conquer the Middle East,” Gold said of Iran, “and it’s not Israel talking, that is our Sunni Arab neighbors — and you know what? I’ll use another expression – that is our Sunni Arab allies talking.”

Opinion: Dore Gold comes from an American conservative Jewish family. He immigrated to Israel in 1980. Gold received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1984 and his M.A. in 1976 in Political Science. He also received the Certificate of the Middle East Institute from Columbia University in 1978.

Gore’s comments, while accurate on Iranian aggression, show how one day, possibly soon, Israel will be living without walls, bars, and gates and an attack will come led by a prince from the far north named Gog (Ezekiel 38:1-6).

We pick up in Ezekiel 38:8 “After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate.”

There it is. That is where Psalm 83 fits. Israel wins the war and decimates the neighboring (Edomite) Arab nations (Obadiah 1:18). Israel then feels that the threat of Palestinian aggression is over and the walls and gates come down.

Now comes a bigger threat: “You (Gog) will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.”

Dr. Gold needs to get out his Bible.
