Sun, UK: A STUDENT in Italy has become an unexpected TikTok sensation after tattooing the barcode of his Covid certificate on his arm.
Andrea Colonnetta, 22, said he hadn’t given much thought in advance before getting his latest tattoo, but decided on the topical — and practical — choice after talking with tattoo artist Gabriele Pellerone.

The underside of Colonnetta’s left arm now bears a matrix of black squares from the QR code of his official Italian green pass.
He said he had received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine.
The pass gives proof of coronavirus status — that you are vaccinated, have recovered from the virus, or tested negative in the last 48 hours. Read More …
Opinion: Makes sense. What will passport checkers do about fully-vaxed people who lost their passports or had them stolen? For Bible prophecy students, a tattoo looks like a no-brainer. Is the mark of Revelation 13:16-17 barcodes?
There are three marks noted in the Bible, one in Genesis and two in Revelation, about which Bible scholars have speculated but God has chosen not to reveal:
- The mark that protected Cain from being killed: “And the
Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill
him” (Gen. 4:15). - The future mark that will protect the 144,000 Jewish male
virgins during the tribulation: “And I heard the number of those who were sealed.
One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the
children of Israel were sealed [on their foreheads]” (Rev. 7:4). - The future mark of the Beast: “He causes all, both small and
great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on
their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may
buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the
beast, or the number of his name” (Rev. 13:16–17).
So what is holding back the fulfillment of more than 500 prophecies? Did the Apostle Paul expect the question?
“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” 1 Thessalonians 2:7
A mystery in the NT is new truth previously unknown before its revelation in this dispensation. Paul is warning his followers of a future climax of lawlessness. Satan is being restrained by the Holy Spirit until the time appointed for the man of sin to enter the world stage.
When the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way (1 Thess. 4:16-17) with the church He indwells, Satan’s man will be revealed, as will the mark.
“And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming” 1 Thess. 2:8.
And for many, it will be too late.
