The Times of Israel: In Israel’s first public comments on the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Saudi Arabia’s Istanbul consulate, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday that while the killing was “horrendous,” it was still necessary to preserve stability in the Arab kingdom.
“What happened at the Istanbul consulate was horrendous and it should be duly dealt with. But at the same time, it is very important for the stability of the region and the world that Saudi Arabia remain stable,” he said during a visit to Varna, Bulgaria.
“We have helped uncover two terrorist attacks — one in Paris, and the other one in Copenhagen, organized by the Iranian secret service. Blocking Iran is at the top of our agenda for security, not merely for Israel but I believe for Europe and the world as well.”
Netanyahu told Trump administration officials that bin Salman was a key strategic partner and a linchpin of the alliance against Iranian encroachment in the region, according to the Post. more …
Opinion: In my opinion from October 19 (here), I said this: “Somehow I’m guessing this (Khashoggi) affair is swept under the rug, what with billions of Saudi dollars flowing into the US economy via weapons purchases and investments. And then there is that peace deal …”
It was a no-brainer really, what with Israel’s prime minister’s trip to Oman this past week making nice to Sunni Muslims, the plan became even more obvious that:
- Trump’s deal of the century is coming soon
- The Khashoggi murder is being forgotten regardless of who done it
- Foolish men believe that a peace plan between the Sunnis and Israel will work
Oh, it may work short term but Scripture tells us that when they say peace and safety then sudden destruction comes upon them (1 Thess. 5:3).
The world has a bunch of prophecy to get through before Daniel 9:27, a false peace that will be confirmed by a charismatic world figure:
“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease …”
- Temple and animal sacrifice are a return to the last 7 years of the law
- The church is under the dispensation of grace not law
