BIN: The Palestinian Authority announced on Sunday that it was unilaterally canceling the division of Judea and Samaria into Areas A, B, and C, which has been in effect since the Oslo Accords were signed.
The P.A.’s local authorities minister, acting under instructions from P.A. Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, instructed heads of Palestinian local authorities in Judea and Samaria to prepare long-term development plans for their areas, regardless of whether the lands in question fall under Palestinian or Israeli civil and security control or whether they are open public lands or currently populated.
According to the Oslo Accords, Area A includes all Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria, and is under full P.A. civil and security control. Area B is under P.A. civil control but Israeli security control, while in Area C, which includes most Israeli cities and towns in Judea and Samaria, Israel is in charge of all civil and security matters. more …
Opinion: The writer attributes the Palestinians as descendants of Ishmael, to which I disagree. Ishmael, who was circumcised (Genesis 17:26), settled the Arabian Peninsula where he and his 12 sons remained.
According to the extra-Biblical writings (here), Esau spurned circumcision.
“And they [Ishmaelites] dwelled from Havilah to Shur that upon the face of Egypt as one goes toward Assyria in defiance against all his brothers he settled.” Genesis 25:18.
To be sure, Ishmael whom Arabs claim as the father of Islam, is an antagonist as prophesied in Genesis 16:12, but is not who is in Judea (West Bank) today.
“Even though Edom has said,
“We have been impoverished,
But we will return and build the desolate places,”
Thus says the Lord of hosts:
“They may build, but I will throw down;
They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever.”
Esau, who is Edom (Genesis 36:1), is living up to Malachi’s prophecy perfectly.
