The Times of Israel: “Activities and events will take place worldwide, will be launched on November 2 and end on November 2, 2017 — the 100-year mark since British Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour announced his government’s intention to establish “a national home for the Jewish people” in the Land of Israel.
Signed by Balfour in 1917, the declaration was seen as giving the Zionist movement official recognition and backing on the part of a major power, on the eve of the British conquest of the then-Ottoman territory of Palestine.”
Opinion: In our book Antichrist: The Search For Amalek we followed the descendants of Esau from their original home in Mt. Seir (southern Jordan) to their second home in southern Israel in the 6th century BC. Today the secular world calls it the West Bank, and it is being occupied by Arab refugees who call themselves Palestinians.
Those same people have been, and are still, trying to fulfill Genesis 27:41 in which Esau promised to kill his brother Jacob, whom God named Israel (Genesis 35:10).
They will never succeed.
Think back to the early years of the Obama presidency. In one of his first acts, Obama sent a bust of Winston Churchill back to Britain.
That gesture of disrespect by the US President was a clear message of solidarity with the Arab world.
On November 2, 1917 a letter from the UK’s Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Walter Rothschild, 2nd Baron Rothschild, a leader of the British Jewish community, recommended the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jews but without prejudice to the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine.
The document is known as the Balfour Declaration.
At the end of World War I, the Ottoman Empire which had aligned with Germany collapsed, and with it, any and all claims to 6.7 million square miles of land.
That land was divided up among the allies.
In 1922 the League of Nations awarded Britain mandates over Transjordan, Palestine, and Iraq. Britain awarded the entire land of Palestine to the Jewish people with no territorial restrictions.
In June of that year Churchill actually sided with the Arabs: “the Balfour Agreement did not support the disappearance or the subordination of the Arabic population, language, or culture in Palestine”, and that Britain intended to “foster the establishment of a full measure of self government in Palestine“.
But that was not enough for the Arab side.
Between 1922 and 1948 Britain had reduced Israel’s land grant from 43,075 square miles to 5560 square miles giving a huge piece of land for the establishment of Jordan as a home for the Arab peoples.
That was not enough either.
The Arab nations have never wanted a state next to the Jews. They want the Jews pushed into the Mediterranean Sea.
The blood feud that Esau has for his brother Jacob over the land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and his descendants after him can only be solved by the return of the Prince of Peace.
Only then will the sons of Edom meet their end (Obadiah 1:15-18, Isaiah 63:1-3) and those who participate in the celebration against the Balfour Letter are bringing Judgment on themselves.
