Opinion: Some times a Bible verse just jumps onto the page:
“Even though Edom has said,
“We have been impoverished,
But we will return and build the desolate places” Malachi 1:4
Edom, who is Esau (Genesis 36:1), cannot let go. His descendants are trying to reclaim the land that their Patriarch thought so little of that he sold it for a bowl of porridge (Genesis 25:29-34), earning him the distinction of being the only man in the Scriptures that God said He hated (Malachi 1:1-3)
Here is something else God had to say:
“They may build, but I will throw down;
They shall be called the Territory of Wickedness,
And the people against whom the Lord will have indignation forever” (Malachi 1:4).
Edom has returned but his descendants are now called Palestinians.
