Palestinians slam UN chief’s remarks on Jewish ties to Temple Mount

JPost: “Palestinian officials criticized United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Sunday for saying that a Jewish temple existed atop the Temple Mount. more

“[Guterres] ignored UNESCO’s decision that considered the Al-Aksa Mosque of pure Islamic heritage. Adnan al-Husseini, Palestinian Authority Jerusalem Affairs minister told Xinhua, a Chinese news outlet, clarifying that the UN secretary-general “violated all legal, diplomatic and humanitarian customs and overstepped his role as secretary general…and must issue an apology to the Palestinian people. ”

Opinion: It is never enough for the Palestinian leadership. Antonio Guterres, former leader of Portugal’s socialist party and UN high commissioner for refugees, is the 9th UN Secretary General of the dictators’ club known as the United Nations.

Guterres avoided making a complete fool of himself by side-stepping the UNESCO position that there is no historical connection between Jews and Jerusalem.

Guterres’ assertion that Jerusalem is holy to all three of the major monotheistic religions, however, is incorrect and misleading. Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran and was rarely visited by Jordan’s King Hussein after the holy city was annexed between 1948 and 1967.

Guterres also said that he had no intention of pushing for a peace process between Israel and the Palestinians, though he believes in the two-state solution.

There is no way to enact a two-state solution without giving in to Palestinian demands:

  • Jew-free zones in the West Bank and Gaza with a connecting corridor
  • Making Jerusalem and the Temple Mount an Arab capital
  • Right of return of 5 -13 million Arab refugees

Incredible, isn’t it? Only total possession of Jerusalem as an Arab state will satisfy the blood feud (Genesis 27:41), which, not coincidentally is the title of our new book coming out tomorrow.
