LifeSite News: Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the Vatican announced on Tuesday, following an appeal made by the Ukrainian Catholic bishops.
In an announcement released March 15, Matteo Bruni, the director of the Holy See Press Office announced:
On Friday 25 March, during the Celebration of Penance at which he will preside at 17.00 in Saint Peter’s Basilica, Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The same act, on the same day, will be carried out in Fatima by His Eminence Cardinal Krajewski, Apostolic Almoner, as envoy of the Holy Father.
March 25 is the feast of the Annunciation. No further details were provided about the consecration, but the message was repeated on the Pope’s official Twitter account. LifeSiteNews has contacted the Holy See Press Office for further information. Read More …
Opinion: LifeSite News June 26, 2020:
In Fatima, on the eve of the Communist Revolution, Our Lady predicted that the errors of Russia would spread throughout the world, causing great suffering, unless Russia was consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart. The evil of atheistic communism, which first seized power in Russia, still spreads today.
It is the information given by the apparition of Fatima that Catholic leaders believe provides the prophecies of the end of the age, not the Book of the Revelation.
In the Fatima appearing in 1917, one of the children named Jacinta recounted this: more sinners go to hell because of sins of impurity than for any other reason.
So which Gospel is it? “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved …” (Acts 16:30-31), or avoiding acts of impurity?
In Luke 1:47 Mary rejoiced in Jesus her ‘Savior’, giving us clear insight as to who Mary is in relation to who her Son is. Mary, like the rest of us, needs a Savior.
Deception is a hallmark of the last days (Mat. 24:4) and the intensity of it will continue to grow as Satan is working overtime before the church of Jesus Christ is removed (1 Thess. 4:16-17).
From the article:
Their statement, released on the morning of Ash Wednesday, referenced the current conflict in Ukraine, and called for the consecration to be done in the manner requested by Our Lady of Fatima in 1917. The letter reads:
Holy Father! In these hours of immeasurable pain and terrible ordeal for our people, we, the bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Ukraine, are spokesmen for the unceasing and heartfelt prayer, supported by our priests and consecrated persons, which comes to us from all Christian people that Your Holiness will consecrate our Motherland and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Responding to this prayer, we humbly ask Your Holiness to publicly perform the act of consecration to the Sacred Immaculate Heart of Mary of Ukraine and Russia, as requested by the Blessed Virgin in Fatima.
May the Mother of God, Queen of Peace, accept our prayer: Regina pacis, ora pro nobis!
In Matthew 24 the disciples were distraught. Jesus had just told them that the temple, the very soul of Judaism, would be destroyed and they asked for a sign of what would be happening just before He returns.
The very first sign Jesus gave them to watch for was deception:
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many” Matthew 24:4-5.
Nowhere in Scripture is Mary, the mother of Jesus, referred to as a prophetess. Nowhere in Scripture is Mary, the mother of the Savior, referred to as having nations consecrated to herself and not Her Son, and nowhere in Scripture are we told to watch for Mary’s visitations.
Today, Catholics are being deceived by their own Magisterium which adds to the words of Scripture:
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18-19
