Jewish Press: In the coming days, the Trump administration is expected to announce a new policy that effectively cancels the Palestinian right of return, Israel’s Channel 2 News reported Saturday night. The new plan is expected to include a number of measures aimed primarily at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
The new plan is expected to be published at the beginning of September, when the White House will issue its policy regarding the refugee organization, in a few stages.
First, the US will issue a report contesting the official number of Palestinian refugees, claiming there were only about half a million of them (that might have been a mistake in the news report, adding an extra zero, as estimates are now at only 50,000 original refugees), compared with more than five million according to UNRWA. more …
Opinion: The right of return refers to the claims of first-generation Jordanian refugees and their descendants to recover the property they or their ancestors left before the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. These are the same refugees who turned down a two-state solution in 1947 and chose war instead.
To remedy the problem in favor of the Arabs, the UN created UNRWA in 1949 and changed the definition of refugee.
In doing research for her 1984 book, “From Time Immemorial” (JKAP Publications, Chicago, IL) originally supporting Arab rights to the land of Israel, author Joan Peters found a nagging discrepancy between the standard definition of a refugee and the definition used only for the Palestinian Arabs. Historically, a refugee is someone forced to leave a permanent or habitual home.
For the Palestinian Arabs only, the definition is changed from “permanent”
or “habitual” to a two-year occupancy: “persons whose normal place of residence was Palestine between June 1946 and May 1948, who lost both their homes and means of livelihood as a result of the 1948 Arab-Israeli conflict.” Peters’ research of the facts led her to support the state of Israel.” (excerpt Antichrist: The Search for Amalek)
Kings, presidents, popes and dictators act like they have bought the lie. I can’t help trying to figure out which one is lying and which ones actually believe it when they make speeches. Wait to see how long Obama takes to use the word occupation:
… code for pro-Palestinian position.
Enter Donald J. Trump, the first president to have the courage to declare Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. God uses people in mysterious ways.
In the coming days the world will hear the Trump peace plan. I can’t help but be concerned about one statement he made last week.
“And you know what, in the negotiation Israel will have to pay a higher price because they won a very big thing, but I took it off the table,” he said. The Palestinians “could never get past the fact of Jerusalem becoming the capital, but they will get something very good next because it’s their turn next.”
So what is the concern?
“And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. In that day,” says the Lord” Zechariah 12:3.
