Romney: Robert Jeffress Falsely Paints Faithful Christians as Bigoted Extremists

PJ Media: Early Monday morning, ahead of the ceremony officially moving the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, former Massachusetts governor and presidential candidate Mitt Romney took to Twitter to savage Pastor Robert Jeffress, who was slated to offer a prayer at the ceremony.

“Robert Jeffress says ‘you can’t be saved by being a Jew,’ and ‘Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell,'” Romney tweeted. “He’s said the same about Islam. Such a religious bigot should not be giving the prayer that opens the United States Embassy in Jerusalem.”

The tweets, of course, set off a media firestorm as the MSM and enemies of Christianity (but I repeat myself) jumped at the opportunity to denigrate orthodox biblical Christianity. more …

Opinion: Unlike Pastor John Hagee’s closing prayer that neglected to mention Jesus, Pastor Robert Jeffress proclaimed Jesus as our Lord and Savior at the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

And there was silence from the Vatican:

According to the Catholic website Cruz Now, a parish priest, however, was not silent. At St. Joseph Parish in Jifna, West Bank on May 14, Father Firas Aridah tolled bells at noon to mourn those injured and killed in clashes, to mark the commemoration of the day Palestinians call al-Nakba – their catastrophe – and to lament the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

“Jerusalem is at the heart of the conflict,” he said. “Opening the American embassy without resolving the conflict is going to the extreme. They can resolve the conflict of Jerusalem and then do whatever they want. But why just move the embassy to Jerusalem without resolving the conflict?”

The priest said although parishes in the Holy Land tell their parishioners to resist occupation by educating themselves and preparing for the future, people in Gaza see no future. He said he can stress to his school’s Christian and Muslim students that throwing stones is not worth dying for, but people in Gaza are desperate.

Three times the priest said “resolve the conflict“. If he read his copy of the Bible, he would know that man can only bring a false peace to Jerusalem, and the King of Kings is the One who will come back to resolve the conflict.

The pro-Palestinian cause can only be believed when you choose to forget history:

In 1922, Arab leaders managed to change the British mandate that awarded Israel both sides of the Jordan River. The League of Nations cut off 78% of the original land grant and established Jordan as a state for Arab people.

Over 700,000 Arabs chose to stay in Israel, becoming permanent pawns for Arab leaders.

In 1947, Arabs were offered a state inside Israel which was categorically turned down by Arab leaders, causing the true plight of the people.

Allegorizing Scripture:

After two thousand years of allegorizing Biblical prophecy, the Catholic Church, and many Protestant denominations, ignore the words of Jesus in Matthew 22:9 “Your mistake is that you don’t know the Scriptures, and you don’t know the power of God,” and the Old Testament prophets:

  • Isaiah 11:11, 66:8-9
  • Jeremiah 16:14-15, 31:3-9, 31:35-36
  • Ezekiel 36:8-10, 37:8-14, 38:8, 12
  • Amos 9:15

Israel is right where it is supposed to be, still being controlled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled, Luke 21:24, at the return of Jesus Christ:

“And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled”.

  1. Great post, Author. And the times of the Gentiles, IMHO, is very close to being concluded. So exciting!
    And I agree, Psalm 37.

  2. Firstly, John Hagee (notice that I did not refer to him as “Pastor”) is a fraud, and has proven to be selfish and anti-biblical in his teachings. It was a bad decision to have him pray (to whoever he had prayed to) at the opening ceremony of the US embassy in Jerusalem.

Secondly, Firas Aridah (notice that I did not refer to him as “Father”) is a fraud, and has proven to be selfish and anti-biblical in his teachings. The organization he works for is the company of Satan.

Thirdly, while Pastor Robert Jeffress has been known for his controversial outbursts, he needs little, if any, correcting. He has been spot on in claiming that “Mormonism is a cult”, and that “as long as the Jews and Muslims are not saved they are going to Hell”, and that the “Catholic Church is an instrument of Satan”. He is known for being politically incorrect and speaking straight from the Word of God, and so, I pay attention.

Trump and Netanyahu should apologize for allowing Hagee to pray at that ceremony.
