$592,500 for State Dep’t to Explore Gender Identities of Males in Kenya

Circumcised Maasai young men react after coming out from the bush near Kilgoris, Kenya, on the last day of the annual one-month-long circumcision ceremony, on December 20, 2017. During the end year school holidays, Maasai young men around 18 years old stay in the bush after circumcision to train singing, hunting and learn discipline and how to protect their community to become Moran (warrior) as their rite of passage. As following Kenya's new law, the community stopped the circumcision ceremony for young women since 2014. / AFP PHOTO / YASUYOSHI CHIBA (Photo credit should read YASUYOSHI CHIBA/AFP/Getty Images)

Free Beacon: The State Department announced a new $600,000 taxpayer-funded study that suggests “ideals of masculinity” in Kenya are contributing to terrorism.

The department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism is seeking a nonprofit group to “explore gender identities of boys and men in Kenya.” The grant proposal states that men being “tough, heterosexual, aggressive, unemotional, and achieving” can make them vulnerable to joining Islamic extremist groups.

“Gender is increasingly recognized as an essential aspect to understanding and countering violent extremism throughout the world,” the State Department said. more …

Opinion: The war against masculinity went into high gear here in the US on Saturday with very angry women carrying signs that, in most cases, are too vile to post on a Christian website.

Here is one that used a word,”intersectionality”, which I had to look up:

A quick look at Wikipedia revealed it is a theory which considers that the various aspects of humanity, such as class, race, sexual orientation and gender, do not exist separately from each other, but are complexly interwoven, and that their relationships are essential to an understanding of the human condition.

To which I reply, … whaaat?

I was particularity curious why Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson seemed so angry after a life of privilege and wealth, and the duplicity from Johansson after topping a list of the sexiest women in the world, “One of the best things for a woman to hear is that she is sexy.”

Actress Scarlett Johansson, right, speaks as Mila Kunis

The war against masculinity is actually very old.

In Genesis 3:16 God pronounces judgment on Eve for her part in the transgression in Eden: “Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”

It would seem that a woman desiring her husband would be a good thing, and not a curse. However, the NLT translation clears it up: “You will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”

This is the condemnation: that the sorrows of child-bearing, before and afterward, are greatly multiplied, and she is put under subjection to her husband to whom she was a helper beforehand.

Matthew Henry said, “Those wives who not only despise and disobey their husbands, but domineer over them, do not consider that they not only violate a divine law, but thwart a divine sentence.” The desire is for control, and it is a humanistic desire for my life is my own. Here is the root of feminism, which desires to throw off the decree pronounced by God, which was necessary for correction.

She shall be subject, but it shall be to her own husband that loves her, not to a stranger, or an enemy: the sentence was not a curse, to bring her to ruin, but a chastisement, to bring her to repentance. It was well that enmity was not put between the man and the woman, as there was between the serpent and the woman.”

Years ago, in a mixed Bible study at our church, Editor called it a sentence passed on from Eve. Jaws dropped.
