The heart is a symbol for love. In Scripture, the heart is a person’s inner moral and spiritual life; the inner essence of who we are.
When God looks at our hearts, He stands in judgment over all our sins. The only justification for our hearts is through Jesus’ cleansing and transforming blood.
“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” Luke 6:45
God knows if a person will be faithful and He sees what people can’t see. “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23
Those are the ones with whom God seeks to share eternal life.
