We hope you are able to spend time today with a few family members and others you love. One of our sons will be coming to visit with his wife and two little daughters.
Even though we will remember 2021 as a continuing bad dream with a deadly virus, mask wearing and social distancing, Covid vaccine mandates and discrimination, great violence and lawlessness in our city streets, we are reminded through Daniel 2:21 Who is in charge …
“He changes times and seasons;
He deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning”
… and that even when times of persecution come, we can take heart…
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Author and I have much to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. We are grateful for each other, very grateful that a big surgery is now behind us and rehab begins, we are grateful for our family and the blessing of grandchildren, grateful to look forward to another beloved grandson coming in March, and grateful to you for coming here every day!
Above all, we are grateful for the Lord Jesus Christ taking our punishment and returning to His Father after resurrecting, thereby giving to us who love and trust Him, the same eternal life He has.
May JESUS be everything to you this Thanksgiving!
