‘The IDF has lost control over the Hebron area’

JPost: “The IDF has lost control over the portions of Area C around the Hebron area, Kiryat Arba Council head Malachi Levinger said at a parlor meeting between politicians and settler leaders on Thursday afternoon.

“Something has to change,” Levinger insisted, speaking in the home of South Hebron Hills Regional Council head Yochai Damri in Otniel.

Members of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee were also present, coming to the area in the aftermath of the two recent terror attacks that claimed the lives of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, 13, and Rabbi Michael “Miki” Mark, 47.”

Opinion: Located in the West Bank Judean mountains, Hebron is a Palestinian city, 30 km (19 miles) south of Jerusalem. Hebron is smack-dab in the belly of the beast.

In the 6th century (586 BC) at the time of the Babylonian Captivity, the descendants of Esau were forced out of their ancestral home in Mt Seir, and settled in southern Israel.

There were so many Edomites there that the Romans named the area Idumea, and recruited and conscripted fierce warriors for conquests on the way to global domination.

Mark 3:8 “When they heard about all He was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.”

The Pharisees were from the area of Idumea which explains the harsh treatment given them by Jesus (Matthew 23:1-39) and that same area is still inhabited by those with Edomite blood, which explains the constant terror attacks in the area.

Hebron is rich in Biblical history: Gen. 13:18; 23:2; 35:27; visited by Israelite spies, Num. 13:22; taken by Joshua, Josh. 10:36; 14:13-15; in hill country of Judah, Josh. 15:54; city of refuge, Josh. 20:7; Judg. 1:10; David’s capital, 2 Sam. 2:1-3, 11; 5:5; Absalom there, 2 Sam. 15:10; fortified, 2 Chr. 11:10.

Just 19 miles north of Hebron is Jerusalem, the place from where Jesus Christ will rule and reign 1000 years Rev 20:1-2.
