UAE Minister: Our Treaty With Israel References a Palestinian State

JPost: A Palestinian state has been referenced in the US brokered Abraham Accord signed between Israel and the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, said Anwar Gargash, the UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been under pressure from the Israeli right wing not to do anything that would cement recognition of a Palestinian state but Gargash clarified that the document briefly mentions a two-state resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, although the document deals largely with the bilateral relations between Israel and the UAE.

The accord’s preamble emphasizes a “basic stance” regarding the Palestinians, he said. It speaks of a two-state resolution to the conflict by referencing previous signed agreements, Gargash said. Read More …

Opinion: While Israel claims there is no two state mandate in the current treaty, JPost reports this:

“The “Treaty of Peace, Diplomatic Relations and Full Normalization Between the United Arab Emirates and The State of Israel” recalls the ceremony in the White House in January, in which US President Donald Trump presented his peace plan and commits the sides to the treaty to “continuing their efforts to achieve a just, comprehensive, realistic and enduring solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Here is the headline from the Jan 28, 2020 meeting:

Trump Says His Mideast Peace Plan Provides A ‘Realistic TwoState Solution

President Trump says his long-awaited Mideast peace plan unveiled Tuesday is a road map for a “realistic two-state solution” that envisions Jerusalem as Israel’s “undivided capital.”

He also said the U.S. would open a new embassy in “Eastern Jerusalem” to the Palestinians.

The Trump administration believes that in addition to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, this plan could lead to a peace agreement that ends the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

A long time reader, Paul, said this:

“The same week in late January that the “Deal of the Century” was presented to the world, which includes a Palestinian state inside of Israel, COVID19 came to our shores and eventually became much worse in NYC than anywhere else.”

The Covenant Land is non-negotiable:

Genesis 15:8 God made a covenant with Abram and his offspring giving him the land with specific boundaries.

Genesis 17:7-8 God repeated the covenant after changing Abram’s name to Abraham giving him and his descendants ‘after him’ all the land of Canaan.

Joel 3:2 God warns the nations that dividing His land will bring judgment.

The details of the two-state solution that are part of the signed Abraham Accord are once again vague to us, but not to God. While the world celebrates peace we are reminded of a verse …

“For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. “1 Thess. 5:3

And all that, 48 days before the election.

  1. RC, thanks for staying on top of this important development regarding an apparent seismic shift in Mid-East politics and its potential effect relating to Bible prophecy. First, the “Two State Solution” is on the table!! with the sovereignty of Jerusalem very much in question: – “President Trump says his long-awaited Mideast peace plan unveiled Tuesday is a road map for a “realistic two-state solution” that envisions Jerusalem as Israel’s ‘undivided capital.’” – The best I can interpret from this “plan” is that some Muslim nations are willing to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist with Jerusalem as its capital, but I don’t see this snowballing into a majority Muslim view. East Jerusalem means too much to Islam just to be “signed” away. A few key Islamic nations may be attempting to buttress against the growing menace of Iran but the Jerusalem issue is too volatile to be used as a pawn for a mainly economic oriented plan. The conflict for the last 100 years revolves around religion. This was lamented by Yasser Arafat immediately following the Six Day War: “The Israelis, having knocked out the entire Egyptian air force…snatched the Gaza Strip from Egypt…were in full control of the West Bank. Worst of all, the holy city of Jerusalem [East Jerusalem, including the Old City] – Palestine’s center of gravity.”

Second, obviously, resolving the sovereignty issue of Jerusalem first involves establishing a “Palestinian” state – the Palestinians being mainly those Arabs represented by the PLO, PLA, Hamas, Hezbollah, et al. They are not going to be satisfied with just an embassy in East Jerusalem while the Jews enjoy the whole of Jerusalem as their capital. Turkey will not support this neither will Iran, whose main surrogate, Hezbollah, continues terrorist activities against Israel.

Third, your scriptural reminders from Genesis, Joel, and 1 Thessalonians are rightly noted showing that the Almighty Himself will be less than pleased with any dividing up of His land! Therefore, the Two State Solution and the Jerusalem issue go hand in hand. Satan needs the Two State Solution as a stepping stone to finally acquire East Jerusalem for his own. IMO, these events will not be transacted peacefully through a treaty only through armed conflict (Psalm 83:1-8). We shall see…
