We won’t win war on terror: Former French PM

CNBC: “Europe is taking the wrong approach to fighting terrorism, former French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin has told CNBC.

Speaking immediately after a series of explosions rocked the Belgian capital of Brussels, de Villepin said that they were “tragic events” but added that Europe should be showing that it is sticking to its rule of law and can only “reduce” the threat of terrorism.

“I do believe that our strategy should be very different than the one it is. Much less a military approach than a political approach, trying to find solutions in the Middle East and we are far from doing that,” he said.

Opinion: Dominique de Villepin is correct that we won’t win the war on terror, but incorrect as to why.

Without a clear understanding of the depth of the roots of Arab Islamic terror, politicians and analysts will trip all over themselves trying to come up with political and intel solutions as Dominique de Villepin suggests.

In the end, they will blame Israel for the plight of the so-called Palestinian occupation. They will blame Israel’s construction of homes for its citizens and they will blame PM Netanyahu for refusing to give to Esau’ descendants the place where two Jewish temples once stood, and a third will someday stand: Ezekiel 37:26-28, Dan. 9:27, Micah. 4:1-7, Zechariah 6:12, Matthew 24:15, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4, Revelation 11:1-2.

They will demand a two state solution in direct violation of God’s word (Genesis 12:3, 17:7-8, Joel 3:1-3) without considering the words spoken by Moses 3500 years ago: “Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

This is God’s war against Amalek, a grandson of Esau (Edom, Genesis 36:1) and He and only He will put a stop to it (Isaiah 63:1-3, Revelation 19:13-15).
