To Our Readers

To Our Readers,

After being hospitalized twice since early August, my wife and I received good news yesterday regarding my current health status.

My thanks first to my wife/editor who, with Hurricane Irma quickly approaching, learned how to mix medicines and infuse them following a strict 24/7 discipline for 6 weeks. Her attention to detail is evident in every blog post.

My thanks also to all of you for your prayers and encouragement during that time. When we were told the exact cause of my infection may never be known, I will never forget my wife’s words on that particularly difficult day: ‘You are already healed, since God has forgiven you, so let’s stop worrying’. That is the most important thing in life — to be healed (reconciled) to God through Jesus Christ!

We used the infusion time to read the Psalms and found two that spoke to us clearly:

Ps. 119:67: Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word.”

Ps. 119:71: It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.”

To God be the glory,

  1. So glad to hear you are better, Author. I have been praying for you. Like you, I was very ill for a time, and like Job, I was very anxious – waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. I arrived at the same conclusion as you and Editor did. I put my life in His hands (not to say I don’t try to take myself out from time to time – it’s so hard – we are dust, after all) and things have been much better ever since. Also want you to know that we were playing a family game and the question came to me, “If you could only have three websites for a month, which ones would they be?” Yours was one of them. So appreciate you both. “He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.” Prov. 18:22. It appears you have a real keeper, Author. Blessings and Maranatha!

  2. So pleased to hear that you are recovering. I didn’t even know you were sick!!! God is so good and especially so during our afflictions. Thank you for all your hard work and Praise God for giving you a Proverbs 31 wife/editor.
