Witches Outnumber Presbyterians in the US; Wicca, Paganism Growing ‘Astronomically’

Christian Post: The rapid rise is not a surprise to some given philosophical and spiritual trends in culture.

“It makes sense that witchcraft and the occult would rise as society becomes increasingly postmodern. The rejection of Christianity has left a void that people, as inherently spiritual beings, will seek to fill,” said author Julie Roys, formerly of Moody Radio, in comments emailed to The Christian Post Tuesday.

“Plus, Wicca has effectively repackaged witchcraft for millennial consumption. No longer is witchcraft and paganism satanic and demonic,” she said, “it’s a ‘pre-Christian tradition’ that promotes ‘free thought’ and ‘understanding of earth and nature.'”

Yet such repackaging is deceptive, Roys added, “but one that a generation with little or no biblical understanding is prone to accept.” more …

Opinion: A falling away from faith in the true God begins with doing the very thing that the Bible warns against: listening to false teachers.

Only one book has a perfect 6000 year old track record of predictive prophecy. It proves beyond doubt to be inspired by God but before anyone will believe that, they first have to pick up the book.

Imagine if there was a person who had a perfect record of picking stocks. Imagine if that person had picked every stock with absolute precision over the past 20 years knowing when to buy and when to sell. Imagine how popular he or she would be.

Bible prophecy has a perfect record with over 1300 prophecies perfectly fulfilled with 500  left to go, and yet men scoff, 2 Peter 3:2-3.

Scripture warns that in the last days men would actually seek false teachers:.

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.” 2 Timothy 4:3

There is a hole in our souls that longs to be filled. There is only One who is worthy and only One who can fill it completely.

His name is Jesus.
