Atonement is universal whereas, redemption is individual. Atonement therefore is the foundation of redemption, and not redemption itself.
The work of atonement is already finished. Christ is the living bread, the bread of atonement, which, if a man eats, he shall live forever. But he who eats not of this bread shall die, being destitute of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum was born in 1943 in Siberia, Russia to Jewish parents. The family was able to immigrate to New York in 1951. He came to saving faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 13.
Eventually, he graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary and later earned his doctorate at NYU.
