Durham Report: FBI Should Never Have Begun ‘Russia Collusion’ Investigation

‘Assessment: 7 years to prove what every one knew. How horrible.

The long-awaited report by Special Counsel John Durham tasked to look into the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign for Russian collusion was released Monday, concluding that the FBI should have never launched an investigation into the Trump campaign.

Durham’s 300-page report found a damning conclusion: “Based on the review of Crossfire Hurricane and related intelligence activities, we conclude that the Department and the FBI failed to uphold their important mission of strict fidelity to the law in connection with certain events and activities described in this report.”

“He who walks with integrity walks securely, But he who perverts his ways will become known.” Proverbs 10:9

“Our investigation also revealed that senior FBI personnel displayed a serious lack of analytical rigor towards the information that they received, especially information received from politically affiliated persons and entities,” Durham’s report said, in apparent reference to the Hillary Clinton campaign-funded Fusion GPS “pee dossier” alleging collusion that the FBI relied on to investigate Trump.

Durham said before the allegation from an Australian diplomat that then-Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos told him the Trump campaign had dirt on Clinton, there was no evidence of any Trump campaign collusion with Russia. But despite this “unevaluated intelligence information,” the FBI “swiftly opened an investigation, known as “Crossfire Hurricane.”

Durham wrote:

In particular, at the direction of Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Deputy Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Peter Strzok opened Crossfire Hurricane immediately. Strzok, at a minimum, had pronounced hostile feelings toward Trump. The matter was opened as a full investigation without ever having spoken to the persons who provided the information.

“The speed and manner in which the FBI opened and investigated Crossfire Hurricane during the presidential election season based on raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated intelligence also reflected a noticeable departure from how it approached prior matters involving possible attempted foreign election interference plans aimed at the Clinton campaign,” the report said.

Ireland: 10,000 Jobs Lost After Asylum Influx Cripples Hotels

The Irish tourism industry is on the verge of collapse after government figures suggested that up to 10,000 jobs may be lost due to using hotels to house refugees. Potentially billions have been lost as regional towns are set to miss out on lucrative summer trading.

The Republic of Ireland has struggled with an influx of refugees the past year, with 83,000 claiming asylum in 2022, compounding the country’s already pre-existing housing shortages.

“There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

The Irish government has faced sustained criticism for its use of private hotels to house asylum seekers. It is estimated that approximately one-third of hotel rooms in Ireland are being used to accommodate the recent refugee surge.

Dublin city has seen the emergence of its first refugee “tent city” this month. Online videos show clashes between locals and Middle Eastern refugees.

According to government figures, coastal towns have been most affected by the displacement of tourism jobs. To make matters worse, authorities are worried that an emergency support scheme for hotels could be illegal under EU state-aid regulations.

Independent politician Carol Nolan described Ireland as “ready to explode.” In a speech to the Irish parliament this week, she specifically brought up the threat of financial ruin, noting that communities will miss out on the financial benefit of the summer tourist trade due to the absence of hotel accommodation.

Israel, Islamic Jihad Signal No Near-Term Gaza Truce

Israel on Saturday ruled out an immediate truce in Gaza, saying the onus was on Palestinian militants to stop launching rockets from an arsenal it suggested could be depleted within days, while its aircraft kept up strikes in the enclave.

“We’re not holding ceasefire talks,” National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi told a municipal event near Jerusalem, adding that Israel‘s top priority for now was firing on militants.

” … And no survivor shall remain of the house of Esau,”
For the Lord has spoken.” Obadiah 1:18

Islamic Jihad’s armed wing said it would press on with rocket salvos as fighting entered a fifth day. “The resistance prepared itself for months of confrontation,” Islamic Jihad said a statement.

From dawn, Gaza militants fired rockets, setting off sirens and sending Israelis across the border running to bomb shelters. At least two people, Palestinian laborers from Gaza working in Israel, were badly wounded by shrapnel.

The Israeli military said aircraft struck Islamic Jihad command centers and rocket launchers in Gaza. Huge clouds of smoke rose as loud explosions ripped through areas bombed.

In the Deir Al-Balah area of the central Gaza Strip, a building was flattened as houses nearby were knocked down. There were no reports of casualties as residents sifted through piles of rubble.

Air strikes on a house also damaged the nearby Shuhada Al-Aqsa hospital, wounding a number of nurses and patients with flying shrapnel, Eyad Abu Zaher, the hospital’s director, said.

Israel‘s military says it has made every effort to limit civilian casualties and damage to houses, and accuses Islamic Jihad of deliberately locating its command centers in residential areas.
