Netanyahu: ‘If a gov’t is formed, God forbid, we will topple it very quickly’

JNS: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday called on Knesset lawmakers from all parties to “vote their conscience” if the so-called change coalition presents a new government to the Knesset this week.

Netanyahu, who spoke at the Likud faction meeting at the Knesset, said that the right-wing parties Yamina and New Hope were essentially disenfranchising voters by partnering with the opposition parties on the Left in an effort to end his term through what they have called a unity government.

“We are witnessing an election deceit the likes of which has never happened,” he warned. “People feel—justifiably so—that they have been conned,” he said, referring to Yamina leader Naftali Bennett agreeing to a rotating premiership with left-wing Yair Lapid, leader of Yesh Atid, as part of the prospective government that was declared last week and could be sworn in within days.

“When we talk about a dangerous left-wing government, we are speaking about a government that would forfeit the Negev and won’t be able to resist an American demand for a settlement moratorium,” warned Netanyahu. He added that the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet in the new government would rely on “terror sympathizers and would not be able to fight in Gaza or defend Israel in the International Criminal Court.”

Border Patrol: Sex Offenders Crossing the Border Are Up 3,166%

PJ Media: Less than 5 months into Gropey Joe’s “presidency” and the number of sex offenders storming the southern border has exploded. Considering that sex offenders typically, though not always, hunt within their own ethnic groups, this is terrifying news for Hispanic people.

Since the start of Fiscal Year 2021, Oct. 1, Del Rio Sector Border Patrol agents have arrested 95 convicted sex offenders, a 3,166 percent increase over the same timeframe last fiscal year.

The horrifying increase comes months after Biden cancelled “Operation Talon” a Trump administration plan that deported illegal immigrants convicted of sex crimes.

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” says the Lord.

Roughly a month after taking office, Biden canceled Operation Talon, much to the dismay of nearly all of law enforcement.

US State Department shuns the term ‘Abraham Accords’

Arutz Sheva: The Biden State Department discourages employees from referring to the peace agreements signed by Israel and its Arab neighbors by its official name, the Abraham Accords, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Friday.

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease …” Daniel 9:27

According to the report, the name has also been erased from a wide array of official State Department communications as the new administration presses officials to refer to the Trump-era deals as “normalization agreements.”

The Abraham Accords were brokered last year by the Trump administration and paved the way for Israel to sign normalization deals with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and, later, Sudan and Morocco. Read More

What can a skeptical world expect from Naftali Bennett?

JNS News: This isn’t the way he planned on becoming prime minister of Israel. When Naftali Bennett left the world of high-tech to enter Israeli politics, the idea that he might achieve the top spot by pushing aside Benjamin Netanyahu would have been inconceivable to him. And even later on, as he led a party to the right of Likud, he regarded it as an ally of the premier, not an opponent—let alone the engine of his political demise. Any notion of him succeeding Netanyahu was a scenario that smart political observers believed was something that could only occur after Netanyahu had retired and also involved Bennett rejoining the Likud.

“But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the Lord.” 1 Samuel 8:6

But whether or not this is how he might have dreamed of achieving such a feat, Bennett is set to become prime minister sometime in the next couple of weeks by forging an unlikely alliance with seven other political parties, including those on the center, left and even an Arab political faction with whom he has little in common. The main purpose of this bizarre coalition is to supplant Netanyahu, the man whom Bennett looked up to and loyally served.

In the process, he and his Yamina Party have become the object of the political right’s rage for what they consider his betrayal and is also viewed with skepticism by his new allies. The same is true of most international observers and even friends of Israel in the United States, most knowing very little about Bennett.

Netanyahu is not giving up, and his followers are seeking to persuade and/or intimidate Bennett’s colleagues into abandoning him. If they succeed and find even one defector, the political chaos will continue. Read More

San Diego Police to force cops to use ‘transgender,’ ‘nonbinary’ pronouns, alter body searches for LGBT individuals

LifeSite News:  The San Diego Police Department (SDPD) are enforcing a new set of rules on interactions with individuals who identify as “transgender” and “nonbinary,” coercing their officers into using the preferred pronouns of such individuals, as well as accommodating body searches and transportation to the needs associated with their “gender identity.”

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 22:5 KJV

The SDPD published an updated set of guidelines on June 1 to coincide with the beginning of the so-called “Gay Pride” month, and Police Chief David Nisleit said that the rules have been developed in conjunction “with our LGBTQ community” in San Diego.

Based on a supposed commitment to “working with the diverse communities it serves,” the SDPD proceeded to implement measures that “create mutual understanding, prevent conflict, and ensure the appropriate interaction with transgender and gender non-binary individuals.”

G-7 nations are close to reaching a historic global tax deal

CNBC:

  • Finance ministers from the Group of Seven rich nations are meeting in person for the first time since the start of the Covid pandemic, after U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration gave fresh impetus to stalled global tax talks this year.
  • Rich nations have struggled for years to agree a way to raise more tax from large multinationals such as Google, Amazon and Facebook, which often book profits in jurisdictions where they pay little or no tax.

Group of Seven rich nations will seek to overcome long-standing differences on Saturday and strike a landmark deal to close the net on large companies that they say do not pay enough tax.

The proposed accord, which could form the basis of a global pact next month, is aimed at ending a decades-long “race to the bottom” in which countries have competed to attract corporate giants with ultra-low tax rates and exemptions.

That has in turn cost their public coffers hundreds of billions of dollars — a shortfall they now need to recoup all the more urgently to pay for the huge cost of propping up economies ravaged by the coronavirus crisis. Read More

Knesset to Convene Monday to Announce New Goverment, Speaker Confirms

Algemeiner: Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin said on Friday that he will announce next week that Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid has succeeded in forming a government, paving the way for the coalition to be ratified.

The announcement underscored a growing sense of optimism among the so-called “change bloc,” headed by Lapid and Yamina leader Naftali Bennett, that the ideologically motley coalition aiming to unseat Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is headed for success.

Netanyahu, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, has sought to splinter the bloc, which in addition to Yamina and Yesh Atid also includes the Labor party, the dovish Meretz party, and the centrist Blue and White party of Defense Minister Benny Gantz, as well as the Islamic conservative party Ra’am.

Yesh Atid were understood to be apprehensive regarding Levin, a senior Likud member known to be a close ally of Netanyahu, fearing he could delay the confirmation of the coalition after Lapid made it known that his first motion would be to replace him as speaker.

Antisemitic Content Multiplied on German, French Online Platforms During COVID-19: EU Analysis

Algemeiner: Antisemitic content posted on major online platforms in German and French has skyrocketed in the first two months of the year compared with the same period last year before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, a report by the European Commission showed.

During January and February 2021, antisemitic postings saw a 13-fold surge on German language accounts and a seven-fold increase in French channels studied. The report — conducted by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue (ISD), a London-based think-thank focused on extremism, and published Tuesday — is based on collated data on online antisemitic content in French and German on Twitter, Facebook and Telegram.

According to the analysis of the data, almost two thirds of the messages matching antisemitic keywords were detected on Telegram, showing it to be the platform most prone to antisemitic messaging by a large margin, compared to Facebook and Twitter.

This research points to a considerable grey area of legal but harmful [antisemitic] content and behaviors prevalent across platforms. Addressing the proliferation of such ‘legal but harmful’ antisemitic content provides a considerable challenge for tech companies and governments alike. Read More
