Israel Hayom: According to the report, following a decision a few months ago to freeze the consulate proposal, the Biden administration has not decided to forgo it entirely and take a series of steps to improve its relations with the Palestinians.

The TOI reported, quoting two American and Palestinian officials, that the US intends to upgrade the status of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr to that of special envoy to the Palestinians.

Amr, the report said, will be based in Washington but make frequent visits to the region to work directly with the Palestinian Affairs Unit, which is part of the US Embassy in Israel.  Read More …

Opinion: From Monday’s article one could think that Joe Biden finally made a pro-Israeli decision. After all, a Palestinian consulate in East Jerusalem would be the first step in establishing a Palestinian capital. Unfortunately, like every Biden decision concerning Israel, the entire plan changed overnight.

On Tuesday May 31, the Biden team led by Ned Price flipped their Sunday position:

State Department: U.S. is committed to opening Palestinian consulate in J’lem

The Times of Israel reported earlier this week that the administration had given up its plans to reopen the consulate and was preparing alternative actions to upgrade ties with the Palestinian Authority, including elevating Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs Hady Amr to the position of special envoy, serving as the White House’ liaison to the PA.

It was also reported that the Biden Administration plans to separate the State Department’s Palestinian Affairs Unit from its Israeli mission, and have it report directly to the new special envoy to the PA. read more …

So who is Hady Amr, whose status of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Israeli and Palestinian Affairs is now ‘special envoy’ to the Palestinians?

“I was inspired by the Palestinian intifada,” Hady Amr wrote a year after September 11 while working with an anti-Israel group.

Amr is a 55 year old American citizen having been born in Beirut, Lebanon.

Biden likely to tap Hady Amr for U.S. consul-general to Palestinians

The problem with Hady Amr

“I have news for every Israeli,” Amr ranted in a column written after Sheikh Salah Shahada, the head of Hamas’s Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, was taken out by an Israeli airstrike in 2002.

Amr warned that Arabs “now have televisions, and they will never, never forget what the Israeli people, the Israeli military and Israeli democracy have done to Palestinian children. And there will be thousands who will seek to avenge these brutal murders of innocents.”

He also threatened Americans that “we, too, shouldn’t be shocked when our military assistance to Israel and our security council vetoes that keep on protecting Israel come back to haunt us. read more

That makes a full house. Joe Biden’s entire administration is bent on Palestinian statehood with a capital in East Jerusalem.

And for that, judgment is coming:

“For behold, in those days and at that time, When I bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.” Joel 3:1-2

The scene is at the end of the great tribulation, and the 2nd coming of Messiah Jesus Christ, when the second of God’s judgments will take place.

Having completed the Bema Seat Judgment prior to beginning of the tribulation, a second judgment of Jews and Gentiles, the Sheep and Goat judgments, will be conducted by Messiah.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.  And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.” Matthew 25:31-33

All survivors coming out of the great tribulation will stand before Jesus based on their treatment of God’s people during the 7 year period of tribulation. The sheep (Jew and Gentile believers) are joined to the Lord in the Millennial Kingdom on Earth (Matt. 25:34) and the goats are sent away into the eternal fire (Matt. 25:41).
