A Christian street preacher was reportedly referred to the UK’s counter-terrorism police after saying that a so-called “transwoman” was really a “man in woman’s clothing”.
David McConnell, a Christian preacher, had already been convicted of “harassment” in a British court of law over the incident last year, with the preacher being sentenced to a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work after saying that the transgender individual was really a “gentleman” and a “man in woman’s clothing”.
“He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.” Genesis 5:2
The Christian man had been preaching at the time of the incident, with his sermons reportedly resulting in him being abused, assaulted, and even having some of his belongings stolen by passers-by, before being arrested by British law enforcement seemingly over his decision to espouse his religious beliefs.
Things did not end there, however, with a report by the Daily Mail revealing on Tuesday that the Christian man was also reported to the UK’s Prevent counter-terrorism programme over his views, which were deemed to be sufficiently radical for them to be contacted.
According to McConnell’s probation officer, the man was “viewed to be persistently and illegally espousing an extreme point of view” with his preaching, prompting the government official to “routinely” liaise with counter-terrorism police.
The revelation has outraged many Christians in the country, many of whom have already expressed shock over McConnell’s conviction for preaching his Christian beliefs.
“This case represents a disturbing trend in our society which is seeing members of the public and professionals being prosecuted and reported as potential terrorists for refusing to celebrate and approve LGBTQ ideology,” Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre reportedly said regarding the case.
“The Bible teaches clearly that we are born male and female; this belief and the freedom to express it in public without fear of being arrested or reported as a terrorist to Prevent must be protected,” she went on to say.

Dan Tony Blair is a wolf in sheep’s clothing when we go to the market to buy fruit or vegetables in this case fruit we inspect the fruit to see if it is good fruit. The Lord said you would know them by their fruits, Tony Blair is very much involved with Klaus Schwab and the world economic forum there is no good fruit there and this is how the Brits missed on that concerning Tony Blair being a Christian which clearly he is not as far as the church goes,a lot of tares have come in among the wheat. It is good to see that the holy Spirit is on the move in the UK as the remnant of true Christian people are praying again. I believe that home churches as it was in the early days of the church will be becoming a reality again do to all this trouble in the church nowadays. There are pastors that will not go with this new evil narrative that then so called New world order is trying to put in place let these pastors preach at home churches and be very careful that no tares come in among the wheat. Bring those people to Jesus those whom you can until the time of the rapture when we’re all called home to heaven by the Lord himself when he shouts come up here until then we must stay strong and contend for the faith. Do not worry and do not be afraid because Jesus said I am with you always even until the end of the age.
Yes John, many tares have come in with the wheat. So many that in Britain the tares are in leadership and the wheat are not welcome. Hence, the church has been spiritually corrupted. But …
Around sixty years ago, as far as I can tell, true Christian men and women began exiting the church. A small, slow trickle at first that became an ebb tide leaving behind beaches of dead men and women dressing up in clerical robes and finery but just acting out a charade to, ‘keep the show on the road.’ Dead Bones! Can these bones live? Yes, with the Holy Spirit within them and no other. This exodus from corruption happened, and continues, throughout the Western Church.
The Body of Christ, for a very large part, has been called out and into … a pre-Roman Jewish/Gentile Church. It is yet an uneasy mix but the Holy Spirit is most certainly at work here. The underground church. Please understand, this movement takes nothing away from those of Christ’s Body who are called to remain in the established denominations. Indeed, I pray they may see through the very many deceptions clouding them and discern the Holy Spirit workings.
I know of, or am in contact with people around the world who have similarly been called out. Some have informal house church groups; sadly they tend to replicated the procedures and mistakes of their former churches. Others, like my wife and I, are solitary Christians called to intercede. We are set as witnesses in the midst a very dense population of Freemasons, worshippers of the horned goat Baphomet. I may say we are made unwelcome here; there have been attempts to physically harm us. Our deliverance was set in place before the harmful event!
I’ve studied the historic Body of Christ over many years. The churches with their roots in Romanism – most denominations – are corrupt and not that which risen Jesus approves of in the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation. That Body must and is returning to what Jesus with the Holy Spirit set in place 2000 years ago. We’re returning to our first love; the Body is shedding its institutional worldliness. Praise God it is happening in my lifetime.
John, and any others, I deeply understand this post may be difficult to accept, to take on board. Even if you ferociously disagree with me, please love us in Jesus as we love you all.
Brother Dan, I want you to read and remember Matthew 13 what Jesus said about the parable of the sower, the wheat& tares. The enemy Satan came in to those churches you are describing and sow the tares in to the wheat driving them out, however the holy Spirit had other plans and so they are going back to the roots of where the church started home churches or underground churches as you had stated. I stand with you side by side my brother I do understand what you are describing here it’s been ongoing for quite some time. I will give you an example in our own country only in reverse is how this works so pastor John MacArthur of Grace community Church in the Los Angeles area of San Fernando valley in California was doing a sermon one time on homosexuality, after a few minutes into the sermon some that were there suddenly got up and started walking out different doors inthe sanctuary and left the church, they did not want to hear what Lord says about homosexuality they were unable to hear sound doctrine as the word says them days would come. Them people wanted their ears tickled and find a god to suit their sin. In this case you may also use the frog in a pot analogy only thing is these people that were in the pot as you might say water got too hot for them and they did leap out. Recognizing what was happening, the holy Spirit led them as he is leading you Dan and your wife and others. Regarding denominations the church my wife and I and my mother and another dear brother in the Lord attend is a non-denominational church and our pastor goes exactly with what the word of the Lord says from Genesis to revelation we know this not only by his words but also his deeds and works and you see the fire of the holy spirit in our pastor’s eyes and we adore him, he is steadfast and will not be moved or persuaded otherwise straight on to the Lord in obedience. Currently in this way not only is the Lord separating his wheat from the tares, he is also leading others to him through his true people of his church. Enclosing brother Dan you and your wife with the power of the holy Spirit please do continue to intercede for others that need to find their way to a good GODfearing God serving Church and we will continue to uphold you in prayer and we do love you stay strong in the Lord Jesus Christ God bless all of you. And to whosoever else reads this post do pay attention to what this dear brother Dan says he’s absolutely correct and he is learning this by the holy Spirit, at that by God-given spiritual discernment.
John, may I thank you again for your kind reply. You encourage us in our isolation. May God bless you!
In the matter of one being called out and called into, it is an historical fact that the Holy Spirit, right from the foundation of the Body of Christ, has called people out from the ‘church,’ and done a new work with them. Here, I’ll cite a book by E.H. Broadbent called The Pilgrim Church, first published in the 1930’s. It spans the entire church history and in contrast the Body of Christ.
Among the first to be called out were the Montanists (in the second century) and the Spirit has moved on so many others, the Anabaptists, Reformers, Quakers, Baptists, Methodists and yet many more. Today’s surge away from established Christianity is but the latest move of the Holy Spirit. Of course, as with all such movements in history that established or mainstream organisation is ferociously against it. Mostly, we have been called out of Catholicism, but lately churchianity.
Let’s not say it’s an easy thing to desert the church which purports to be Christ’s Body. It most certainly is not. I was expelled, violently, but two feminists who had taken over a Pentecostal church. Ejected because I’m a Jewish Christian, expelled because I taught the Word of God, in which feminism has no place. That occasion was violent, foul mouthed and from seemingly pious people. I want none of that. There is no glory for Christ in that.
A few years ago I was on what passed as a Christian forum; run by a New Zealand evangelist, the son of a pastor who a few years ago cursed a fine Christian man who within months died of cancer. On that forum I spoke out against Godless churches and an American pastor came back to me threatening to find me and horse whip me for leaving the church! That is not the Spirit of God descending like a dove! I want none of his church.
It grieves me to this day these people have chosen to be tares when they could be wheat. The offer of free grace is open to all since Jesus died for the sins of all mankind. To repent, be forgiven and cleansed in the blood of the Lamb is an unspeakably safe place for a sinner like me to be.
The Holy Spirit calling out people is not a new thing. Consider Cain and Abel, Noah, Abraham, even Jesus Himself was called out of Egypt, a place that was synonymous with spiritual corruption.
It is a peaceable matter to me to learn you are in a Bible teaching fellowship and In thank the Lord for it. A light among the gentiles, so to speak. John, I can only say tonight, follow the example of the very many people down two thousand years who have cleaved to the Scriptures, held fast the word of God in their hearts and brought glory to the Lord Jesus.
Our prayers are with you and your family this and for many nights, as the Spirit leads. Thank you, dear brother in Christ.
Whilst it may be easy to see this as a modern phenomenon, a more recent crackdown on Christian practices, the root of this is with Mr Tony Blair, Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from 1997 to 2007. It is long forgotten this man’s election platform was one of him being a Christian man! Very sadly, far too many Brits bought into it. I was not one of them and I believe our dear and late Queen Elizabeth, a fine Christian woman, was not either.
Blair saw the weakness of our institutional churches as a lack of money. He was right and they all took his bait. Huge amounts of tax payer’s money were used to emasculate the churches. But his deal had a devilish barb. He bought control of religious activity; the Salvation Army became social workers and not preachers of the Gospel; the Church of England was to be controlled from Downing Street and not Canterbury, being relegated to State ceremonial and little else. It would do the State’s bidding! No church was to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom nor were they allowed to outreach, pray in public or play religious music in public places. They became entangled in meaningless coffee mornings, interdenominational rivalries and infighting and, to be quite kind, worthless, salt without savour.
But of course, this only applied to Christian churches, not outfits of other faiths! They prosper to this day.
As an extension to Blair’s efforts, it is illegal to pray in restricted spaces but no one tells us which space is restricted. Yes, we may be, and are, arrested for praying. What’s left to us now, in the infinite wisdom of God is intercession. I think of it as the nuclear option, dropping prayer bombs in Satanic strongholds, sitting back and watching the results.
Whatever the situation, no matter where the need, we may pray from our homes, our cars or work places dropping these nuclear bombs.
At last, British Christians are learning to pray again, pray as our Lord taught us in Matthew 6. We are slowly moving back, or forward, to, ‘as at the beginning.’ Praise God.
