Israel Hayom: German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Sunday described the 50 years it took to reach a compensation agreement about the 1972 Munich Olympics attack “shameful.” Steinmeier spoke alongside President Isaac Herzog, who is visiting Germany ahead of the 50th anniversary of the attacks which led to the death of 11 Israelis, one German police officer after Palestinian terrorists took the Israeli squad was taken hostage at their residences at the Olympic village.

The incident, and the continuation of the games shortly after, outraged Israelis all over. The Israeli Mossad later assassinated the masterminds of the Palestinian faction responsible for the attack.

“Here in Berlin I stand and declare: Am Yisrael Chai! The People of Israel live! Thank you, my friend President Steinmeier, for the warm welcome. You are a true friend to me, my people & my country. Israel values our alliance and Germany’s commitment to our security and wellbeing,” Herzog said upon arriving at the presidential residence. “The foundations of the Israel-Germany relationship are complicated, challenging, and painful. We have been fated to be forever linked by the past and no less importantly by the future. This is a correct, critical, and indispensable alliance. For both Israel and Germany,” he continued.

Steinmeier regretted that “too long, we did not want to accept that we also share responsibility: It was our task to ensure the safety of the Israeli athletes,” he said. Read More …

50 years ago, Munich Olympics massacre changed how we think about terrorism : NPR

Three terrorists go free:

In 1970, Yasser Arafat and an Arab-Palestinian force challenged King Hussein of Jordan by setting up a state within a state. That same year, in a foreshadowing of 9/11, the Palestinian army hijacked and blew up three airplanes that were flown into Jordan on September 12, 1970. The group became known as Black September and specialized
in hijackings, resulting in the deaths of over two thousand passengers.

On December 28, 2007, the Egyptian magazine Al-Ahram Al-Arabi confirmed what many in the West had suspected for a long time: “that Yasser Arafat personally directed the Black September terrorist organization that claimed responsibility for the 1971 murder of Jordanian Prime Minister Wasfi at-Tal, the 1972 massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics, and other atrocities.”

The Cairo newspaper quoted a book published in December 2007 by PLO leader Marwan Kanafani titled Years of Hope: “There have also long been claims that Arafat’s longtime deputy Mahmoud Abbas, who is still widely known in the Middle East by his military
name Abu Mazen, was very closely involved in the Munich Olympics massacre.” (Excerpts, Antichrist: The Search for Amalek)

Mohamed Oudeh was a leader of Black September, an offshoot of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat’s Fatah group. Before his death from Kidney failure, Oudeh admitted to being the mastermind of the attack but showed no remorse.

Neither Arafat, Abbas or Oudeh stood trial for the Munich atrocity. In fact this past week an arrogant and defiant Abbas, Arafat’s deputy who is known to have arranged the financing for the murders, was given a stage in Germany prior to Israel President Isaac Herzog’s arrival:

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has expressed no regret for the deadly attack by Palestinian militants against Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics half a century ago countering that Israel had committed “50 Holocausts” against Palestinians over the years.

As long as the nations shake hands with the descendants of Amalek, the blood-flow will continue.
