Last Jews in South Sudan Finally Arrive in Israel

JNS News: An unusual family reunion took place Tuesday evening at Ben-Gurion International Airport, when Suzi Makoriel and her three children—the last Jews remaining in South Sudan—landed as new immigrants.

Suzy and her children were reunited with her mother, bringing to an end a 10-year saga that spanned four countries, and was directed by Binyamin-area resident Aharon Tsuf.

A year and a half ago Tsuf met with Suzy’s mother, who told him two of her daughters were in South Sudan, unable to leave the country. Thirty years ago, while she was making her way to Israel from Ethiopia, the mother was kidnapped and taken to South Sudan. She and her other children returned to Ethiopia, but two of her daughters were forced to marry Sudanese men. more

Opinion: From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, my scattered people, will bring Me offerings.” Zephaniah 3:10 NIV

Prophecy in fulfillment. The Jews of the Cush (son of Ham) nations: Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia are making their way to the land before the great war of Gog and Magog.

Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.” Ezekiel 38:5-6

The war will be a monumental event. The Psalm 83 nations will have been defeated and Russia will have no choice but to form an alliance to take Israel’s vast wealth (Ezekiel 38:13) and put an end the Jewish state once and for all. God intervenes:

In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel” (Ezekiel 38:19 NIV) and in confusion the enemy army turn on each other (Ezekiel 38:21).

When the war is over, God will judge (Ezekiel 39:6) the invading nations and will call the rest of the true descendants of Jacob back to the land (Ezekiel 39:28), because the time of trouble (Jeremiah 30:7) is about to begin.

It is in the mountains of Edom (Matthew 24:15-16) where Jesus will bring His people to acknowledge Him (Zechariah 12:10; Romans 11:26-27) and bring them to salvation.
