GERMANY: Leading Art Show Opens Amid Accusations of ‘Antisemitic’ Exhibits

Algemeiner: The top official tasked with combating antisemitism in Germany has criticized a leading art show that was opened by the country’s president on Saturday for failing to deal with the accusations of antisemitism that have overshadowed its production.

Speaking to the German news outlet Bild am Sonntag, Felix Klein — the German federal commissioner for countering antisemitism — commented that the Documenta art festival, which opened this weekend in the city of Kassel, had failed to dispel the impression that some of the artworks now on display promote antisemitic tropes.

Opinion: Anti-Semitism is the oldest and most pernicious hatred in the world. Nothing else even comes close. And there is a reason for it.

God calls them “My people Israel” …

“Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously” 2 Samuel 7:10.

He told them to never be afraid …

“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10

And He told them that when He restores them to the land a second time …

“It shall come to pass in that day That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea” Isaiah 11:11.

They would never be uprooted …

“I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God.” Amos 9:15

And their enemies would be undone …

“The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand,
Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” Psalm 110:1

Over three hundred years ago, King Louis XIV of France asked Blaise Pascal, the great French philosopher of his day, to give him proof of the existence of miracles. Without a moment’s hesitation, Pascal answered, “Why, the Jews, your Majesty – the Jews.”
