Israel 365: On March 5, Pope Francis will make history as the first pope to visit the country of Iraq. During his four-day visit, he will hold an inter-religious prayer service at a ziggurat, an ancient Mesopotamian site built in the 21st century BCE. Next week, the Pope will hold a service the Vatican has named “Prayer for the sons and daughters of Abraham”.
Reuters reported that the “inter-religious prayer service will be attended by Christians, Muslims, Mandaean-Sabaean, Yazidi and other religious minorities present in Iraq.” There is no mention of Jews, descendants of Jacob, being included in the “Prayer for the sons and daughters of Abraham.” Read More …

Opinion: Some would claim that the Bible calls for religious unity. No, it calls for Christians who are true followers of Jesus Christ to unite themselves in the truth of God’s Word—the faith—once for all delivered to those who have put their trust in Jesus (Ephes. 4:16; Jude 3).
Pope Francis is a Jesuit and the goal of Jesuits is to bring all religions, with one exception, under the authority of the Roman pontiff. Anti-Semitism in the Catholic Church dates back to 400 AD to John Chrysostom, Archbishop of Constantinople, who called the Synagogue as a “Place worse than a brothel“, and Augustine who said “Judas is the image of the Jewish people.”
The Jesuit order began under Ignatius Loyola (founder of the Jesuits) in 1540 as a Counter–Reformation movement.

In the mid-20th century, however, a change took place (led, for the most part, by the Roman Catholic Church), expanding the goal of ecumenism to include all religions (minus 1). That may seem like a worthy objective, but it is neither biblical nor possible. Nevertheless, the movement is alive today and growing exponentially. Yet most Christians do not recognize its deceptive nature. source

Bible prophecy teaches that the religions of the world will converge into a one-world religion under the control of the Antichrist.
Revelation 3 calls this new religion Laodicea meaning “The People Rule”. It is not really Catholic and not really Protestant but will have similarities of both.
“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
“These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16
Though the church of Laodicea is condemned, God provides hope for those who overcome.
“To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Revelation 3:21
Pope Francis is setting the stage for Pontifex Maximus the head of the new religion.
“Then I saw a second beast, coming out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb, but it spoke like a dragon.” (Revelation 13:11)
