Israel 365: Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was a massive overreach that has all of the other nations reeling. But many political experts understand that the Russian leader is trying to establish himself as the successor to Tsar Vladimir and Russia as the Third Rome. One rabbi sees this as the modern manifestation of Esau as an insatiable drive for global domination.

There is a prominent and long-standing Russian theological and political concept asserting that Moscow is the Third Rome.

Though this is geographically difficult to understand, it is chronologically consistent. Rome fell in stages, beginning in 395 CE. The Eastern Roman Empire survived as the Byzantine Empire, and although lessened in strength, remained for centuries an effective power of the Eastern Mediterranean with Constantinople, the Second Rome, as its capital. The end of the second Rome, marked by the fall of Constantinople, was in 1453.

In the 15th–16th centuries, the Tsardom of Rus formulated the concept of Moscow as the Third Rome based on three central ideas:

  • A theology that is linked with the justification of necessity
  • A social policy derived from the feeling of unity in East Slavic territories being historically tied through Christian Eastern Orthodox faith and Slavic culture.
  • A state doctrine according to which the Moscow Prince should act as a supreme ruler of Christian Eastern Orthodox nations and become a defender of the Christian Eastern Orthodox Church. Herewith the Church should facilitate the Sovereign in the execution of his function supposedly determined by God.

Many political analysts have suggested that Putin is attempting to reestablish a tsarist empire patterned after Vladimir the Great. Read More …

Opinion: Who are these guys? When researching “Antichrist the Search for Amalek”, for 3 years I tracked the movement of the descendants of Esau.

Excerpt: The Edomite Blood Moves North (pg. 59)

The fifth century BC was known for the Greco-Persian wars that continued all the way
to the death of Alexander in 323 BC. These wars were a perfect fit for the mercenary Edomites, who were known as fierce sword-wielding warriors.

They were conscripted and recruited into these armies, spreading Esau’s blood from Israel
east to Persia (Iran) and north to Lebanon, Syria, Turkey (Chazars), and Russia/Ukraine (Scythians).

The Edomite soldiers then sailed, along with the Assyrians, to Greece and Rome. The ancient Jews called Rome “Bosra,” a form of the word Bozrah, the first Edomite capital in Seir.

At the time I wrote those words I had no idea that one day I would be looking for a connection between Edom, Russia and Rome.

One thing I have learned since our first edition of Antichrist over 9 years ago, is that character and personality traits of ancient bloodlines live on through the generations. How else could we explain Exodus 17:16?

“Because the Lord has sworn: the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.”

The Scythians and Edomites that share a blood connection are anti-Semitic. One writer I researched, Kimberly Rodgers (Esau Effect), said that once in power an Edomite has to be killed for the people to be rid of him or her.

Here is what is incredible. When the final dictator arrives on the world stage, only Jesus at His second coming, will be able to put an end to the eternal enemy of God’s people.

“Who is this who comes from Edom,
With dyed garments from Bozrah,
This One who is glorious in His apparel,
Traveling in the greatness of His strength?—

“I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.”

Why is Your apparel red,
And Your garments like one who treads in the winepress?

“I have trodden the winepress alone,
And from the peoples no one was with Me.
For I have trodden them in My anger,
And trampled them in My fury;
Their blood is sprinkled upon My garments,
And I have stained all My robes.” Isaiah 63:1-3
